It's Then Sings My Soul Saturday when I link up with Amy of Signs, Miracles and Wonders. Please feel free to join in and post a song on your blog and link to Amy's. It's such a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning.
At one time or another, each one of us will or may currently be going through trials and challenges in life.
We may not choose them but always remember that we have a choice ...in how we respond to them.
I don't always understand the why's but I'm learning to trust my God. He is trustworthy!
He is the One who created me. He knows what's best for me. He wants me to grow and not stay stagnant. It can be easy for me to depend on my own strengths and abilities. That's my comfort zone.
But I believe God is teaching me through circumstances that He wants me to step out in faith ...even though I don't know where He's leading.
That's been a struggle for me in the past since I like to know where I'm going complete with directions.
But lately, He has been changing me. And now my response is to make the heart choice to surrender ALL. I want to offer my life back to Him; nothing held back.
I hope you enjoy these sweet voices as they sing "Lord, I Offer My Life to You". My heart echoes the words to this song.
Happy Saturday and thank you for visiting Heart Choices!
So very beautiful dear.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and very loving!
ReplyDeleteBlessings for your weekend ;)

Jill
Dear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI want to share a promise I got once I felt out of control and unable to see the road in front of me.
It was indeed dark, but to this day the Lord has fulfilled his promise.
Isaiah 45: "3 I will give you the treasures of darkness,
riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the LORD,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name."
Came to think of these wonderful words as I read your blog for today, and I pass the promises on to you, knowing you are safe with God.
From yours Felisol
This was beautiful Deb. Have a wonderful Sat. Blessings, Debbie
ReplyDeleteThis song brings back a lot of memories from our home church. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCan't think of another word other than the one used by others... beautiful song. I'd never heard it before. Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard this song. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely thoughts and equally lovely song. He's working on all of us, and remaining surrendered is among the greatest of our challenges. About the time I think I've gotten it, a new round of pruning and fertilizing begins.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Kathleen
Blessings Debbie...Such a wonderful reflection and declaration! Beautiful song & done so lovingly! I thought I knew this but it was a different one and I really was moved by the "offering". Indeed may it be for His glory...as we surrender to Him, may we truly do so as He has done so much for us...I'm so encouraged to hear that in His change in you, you have made a Heart Choice to Trust & give Him it all! No more "on our own"...or in our own strength...been there, done that...it's a dead end...praise God for leading you in this new "dance" & His GUIDANCE!
ReplyDeleteLove & hugs...(hope you don't mind what I shared today)...Peggy
Debbie,
ReplyDeleteThis song made me think about our sermon last Sunday. The preacher commented that no one had probably told a lie in the last 30 minutes of the service.
But I thought about all the songs we had been singing, and how many "lies" may have been sung during that time. We often sing without thought or intention, not necessarily "lying", but not necessarily meaning what we say either.
This song is one of those that makes me think I need to really pay attention as I'm singing it. Am I really offering my life? My whole life? It is my intent! I often fail, but I sing it wholeheartedly as what I WANT to do.
So thank you for sharing it today. May I sing it in truth!
Love,
Lisa
Debbie, this video and the young people shown here are wonderful. We really don't know what may be asked of us, or where the Lord will lead us when we surrender ALL. We tend to think that it will be a place of comfort in another city, or another job, but it can mean painful and despairing places as well. To be willing to go where He needs me, where He can change me and refine me, to purify me...sometimes, I'm not willing to surrender. I don't want any pain, and I don't expect any pain, but to be willing is all he asks. I like Felisol's comment...Isaiah 45:3.."I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord..."..that verse tells me that no matter where I go with Him, there are unforseen blessings waiting for me. To trust means to surrender.
ReplyDeleteI love the video and your words...a message I always need to hear, again and again.
God bless,
Mary
