Love this Debbie! It's so true that we put masks on to hide our true selves from others - and ourselves - but God truly knows who we are behind it! Paula xo
Good Morning! This is soo true Deb. There is NO hiding! And how much easier it is to be just be ourselves. Hope you are enjoying your week off! HUGS, Debbie
Too true...Adam and Eve can't hide from Him and He knows our heart; We can go home from church, but that doesn't mean He stops seeing us or what we do at any time...He calls for us to be real...not perfect!
Good thoughts today. I heard a similar story about a Japanese girl in Hawaii. It was during world war 2. They tried to burn everything that was "Japanese". But she said when she looked in the mirror-she was Japanese. She said a similar thing. Wow.
Hey sister, just thinking of you and praying for you of course. Praying that God's love, mercy, and grace will consume you from the inside out! Sending LOTS of love and MANY prayers, Cherie
Debbie, Nice to meet you. How were you lead to my blog? I ask only because of how I was praying on my walk this morning. Then as I was working on my blog, I happened upon a printed Sermon on a site, I have no idea how I found and in that message was "more of what I have been hearing in my heart" and then when I felt lead to to back and check my blog, there was your comment and "Heart Choices" really jumped off the page! I have become your lastest follower. Thank you for the lovely comments. Those drops on the petals....I wanted my Nikon, lol. Blessings on your day.
Whenever I think of masks, I think of how Moses didn't want the Israelites to see God's fading glory from his face, so he covered it up. It is often interpreted as a good thing, but I can't help but wonder if he didn't want to give them the impression that there was no such fading going on.
What a huge subject. Nothing like authenticity to combat the false pride that has us wearing masks.

ReplyDeletePraise God, we cannot hide from Him.
ReplyDeleteAs I draw closer to God, may He reveal to me those masks, that I still wear, which I thought I had removed long ago!
