I decided to join in on Word Filled Wednesday this week. You can link up at Lori's blog All You Have to Give.
For the past two weeks I've been studying Ann Spangler's book called "Praying the Names of God". The first week I studied God as Elohim (Creator) and it caused me to become more aware of His creation.
This week I'm focusing on God as El Roi (the God who sees all). It's not too late to join in this study at Jill's Forever N Ever N Always.
I took this photo while visiting one of my favorite places; Carmel, California. This is the Lone Cypress along Pebble Beach's 17 Mile Drive.
It reminded me of both God as Elohim and God as El Roi. What a comfort to know that He is the Creator of all things and yet ...He sees me.
Awesome WFW.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, What a wonderful post. Praise God! I am doing a year long speaking series on the Character of God- and His character is so tied into His Names! Oh, don't you love what His names tell us about who our Great God is? Thanks for telling me about the bible study. I'm going to check it out.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!

That is just beautiful, Debbie.
ReplyDeleteAmen - I love the truth of this Psalm!
ReplyDeleteInteresting that depending on my "heart health" the fact that He sees me can be either convicting or comforting! Happy WFW!
ReplyDeleteHow neat! Love that verse.
ReplyDeleteThat study sounds great. I'm doing the Patriarch's with Beth Moore now and learning those names too.
Blessings to you this WFW♥
That is lovely and that is a name of God I do not have on this list that I gave the ladies at Bible study today....we were looking at the Lord's prayer and I was meditating on the words "Our Father"
ReplyDeleteAnd it lead onto the names of God.
I shall be adding another and looking for that book.
I have a book I borrowed but I am not sure if it is in that.....and it was not in the list I copied online..from somewhere??
It is interesting tonight..each post has a real link to my day.
Good Morning Debbie...
ReplyDeletePlease check with Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life. She lives out in Surprise, and I know she carpools sometimes with CeeKay and maybe you could get with her at a drop off point and catch a ride. I believe we could start a carpool for folks too. Anyone needing? Anyone willing to drive? I can add that to my post and maybe it will help others too.
Talk to you soon...Country hugs, Sherry
sounds like a wonderful bible study. You created a wonderful post as well
ReplyDeleteThis was great Deb, and I am soo with you. The creator of this vast and unbelievable universe is mindful of me? Doesn't get much better. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Deb

ReplyDeleteBlessings & Aloha!
(I finally realized that I cannot leave a comment on every single post! haha...so from now on when I am doing some catch up blog reading...I will read what I have missed, but try to comment only on the most recent one. I say try... :o)
Amen Debbie! His eye is on us! We are blessed! Great photo and verse. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined us today. I remember going down that drive when visiting CA about 30 years ago. Thank you for bringing that memory back to me and the verse.
ReplyDeleteDeborah
I love the names of God. I intended to do that group too, but things got in the way. I have the book though and plan on hopefully catching up!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo. It goes perfect with your post WFW post!
ReplyDeleteCarmel is beautiful! I love driving down that way!
"He sees me".....amidst all that beauty, He sees even me..thank you for reminding me.......that gorgeous drive I know of, (ate at Post Ranch Inn), oh let me stop and SEE that beauty of MY CREATOR.
ReplyDeleteAnd are you kidding me, what on earth gets better than a Norwegian-style cabin-home-etc...I have a little "porsgrund" coffee set....my Norwegian relatives have the word "cozy" down....they sit with their coffee and goodies around any table anywhere....they love "koinonia", I'd say that's as good as it gets!
Thanks for once again laying out your "Heart Choices" Debbie...choosing God's will over your own...the ultimate best. I too seek that so much.
xxxxxxx

Just had to stop by and say what an amazing photo and how perfectly it fits with your post.
ReplyDeleteAlso thought I'd let you know I was happy to get the joyful 'toons email this week, and it made me think of you. I subscribed a long time ago and then realized after than when you posted another cartoon that I wasn't getting any. So I went back to the site and apparently the confirmation email went to spam. I got it fixed now.
Have a great day!
