Under The Weather

I've been under the weather lately. As a nurse, I don't mind taking care of sick people. But I hate to be sick myself and it happens so rarely.

I even had to miss out on Easter Sunday services. I was so glad that my church's services can be viewed online live. So, even though I wasn't there physically ...I was worshipping from my bed. I got to listen to the message and hear the beautiful music. Every Easter Sunday, our Music Minister John Shillington sings "He's Alive!" and I actually got to watch him sing it.

I signed up to participate in Problogger's 31 day challenge and I'm already behind in my assignments. But I will catch up eventually. By the way, if any of you are interested in improving your blogging skills you might consider participating in this challenge. I've learned much from Darren Rowse, who is also the author of Problogger the book and is VP of blogger training for b5media. Did you know that Darren lives in Australia and used to be a pastor?

I have an upcoming Laced with Grace devotional. And then towards the end of the month I will host "In Other Words Tuesdays" for the first time. I'm trying to be sure I know how to do the Mr. Linky thing by then. I'm also working with the hubby on a new venture. So, I need to get well fast!!!

I want to ask for prayer. Please pray that I would feel back to normal (whatever that is; lol). But seriously, I have much to do and I need wisdom and clarity. Thank you in advance for your prayers. I hope to be back in action by tomorrow.

  2. Father, I lift my sister up to you today and ask you to heal her body. Comfort her on her sickbed and may she rest in your loving arms. Fill her with peace and may she relax and hear your voice today as to the plan for her life and how she can minister to others.

I'm believing you for favor in Debbie's life, Lord, and I'm praising you for it.

  5. Poor baby! I didn't know you weren't feeling well. :o( I'm in agreement with Sister Lisa's prayer. And I pray right now that the Holy Spirit would blow away any unclean/unhealthy germs in your home in the Name of Jesus.

What is the problogger challenge about really? Sounds interesting!

    Love & hugs!

  7. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. We just had that horrible stomach flu and followed it up with a terrible cough and allergies, so I can empathize. Blessings and comfort to you this day from the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray for a speedy recovery as well.

Thank You that she has faith in the power of prayer. Would You just shower Your love on her? Would You reveal Yourself to her in every detail of all the things she has to do? Thank You Lord. You are so good!

  16. Dear Jesus,
I come to you to remind you of my siter Debbie.
Restore her, give her to drink from the living water, that she never more must feel down and exhausted. We know that when going in your service we also risk fiercely attacks.
Be Debbie's shield and guard every second of the day. Turn out all the burning arrows sent out by the fiend.
Oh, Jesus, when we feel weak, we are strong,-in you.
Please let Debbie experience this truth just as I'm praying.
Thank you for letting our roads meet.
Thank you for the important work you have in mind for Debbie.
Thank you for never imposing any task without also giving strength on overflow.
    Amen
