This is the first time I'm participating in Then Sings My Soul Saturday. But I've visited many other participating blogs on Saturdays and ...what a blessing it's been! So, I'm joining Amy at Signs, Miracles and Wonders today.
I love Selah! This group came to my church one time and sang during our Sunday service. They have such beautiful voices.
Press On is a song that speaks to me right now. When life is uncertain and there are many challenges, it's easy to get distracted and overwhelmed. This song reminds me that I need to press on in Jesus' name.
After all, this isn't my real home; I'm just passing through. I need to keep my focus on Jesus.
Debbie,
ReplyDeleteThis was simply beautiful. And so very true. The images moved me..I can't wait for the day to run into his arms.
I'm so glad you joined with us today. I love to worship the Lord through song.
Big hugs to you, my friend.
After all, this isn't my real home; I'm just passing through. I need to keep my focus on Jesus.

Oh! I love SELAH! Thanks for stopping by! So, you said we read some of the same books. What is your favorite book? Do you read any Elizabeth George books?
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I have heard that song... Thank you so much for sharing. God bless...
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful song and a wonderful message. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteThis was great Debbie! I prayed before I got out of bed that He would help me to keep Him as my focus and not these other distractions. Thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you need any help with ideas for your design. I'm glad to help. :)
Rich blessings to you!!
Dear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteSelah are great singers. Your line about just passing through caught me.
That's where my focus must be. I'll post a song too, that has been in my mind this week.

PS We live 2 hours drive from Bergen, a lovely old Hansa town.
Oh I love that song, and I love Selah. They have had such a hard year! I wish I could bless them like they bless me.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth, we find the strength to press on. I think I have a new favorite song....thank you for sharing that. I am living one day at a time.
ReplyDeleteJust love Selah!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for posting this song.
What a blessing for each of us to share a little piece of God's moving in our lives, with so many women. I know I am touched and affected by many of the songs I listen to each week, and it also moves us into a time of worship.
Is there a better way to spend our time?
Another Selah song on the Press On album is, In My Life/If We Never Meet Again. It was the perfect background song to use on the slide presentation for my husband's memorial service. Thanks for sharing one of your favorites.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I participated in TSMSS. I guess you know what I'll be posting on Saturdays from now on. I'm already writing down songs I love. I'm always happy to meet other bloggers and even nonbloggers who add comments. Yes, we love comments! Lisa, Press On is perfect for your situation now too. And Patricia, I'll have to go back and listen to the words of In My Life/If We Never Meet Again. Thanks for telling me about it.
ReplyDeleteoh thanks for sharing the song, Debbie:) I never heard of it before and it's really great and the lyrics is so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteIt really shows that spiritual journey has gone through a deeper level already & saying wonderfully this line: "After all, this isn't my real home; I'm just passing through. I need to keep my focus on Jesus." is something that one can't learn from anybody but within oneself:)
God Bless always and thanks for dropping by at my blog:)
Hi Debbie, thought I'd pop in and visit with you. The song is beautiful. I like Selah also. I have You are my hiding place that they sang on one of my blogs.
ReplyDeleteSo nice visiting with you. God bless and I'll be back.
This was definitly a timely word. This was very touching and beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
