The Shoe Show Blog Party

The Shoe Show

I'm participating in the Shoe Show blog party thrown by none other than ...Southern Lady.

Now, anyone who really knows me, knows that I'm no southern lady. I'm New York born and bred. However, I think I've lost my New York accent. But I thought this shoe party would be fun! And frankly, I think I need a little bit of fun!

I have a confession to make though. I'm not one of those women who simply adores shoes. I own one pair of really expensive Stuart Weitzman shoes I bought for a wedding I attended. Oh and I almost forgot, I also own a red pair of Via Spiga shoes. But I can't even remember the last time I wore them.

You see, I love to go barefoot! I have small, wide feet.
And when I go outside I usually wear ...flip-flops! After all, I now live in Phoenix, Arizona.

Here are my back door flip-flops.

Here are my garage door flip-flops.

Here's my closet with my shoes. Can you see the hiking boots and my Stuart Weitzman's on the top shelf? But take a look at all of my flip-flops. I have many colors, some are very inexpensive and a few are a little bit fancy. Those are my church flip-flops. I try to have class and ...match my flip-flops with my outfits.

Well, I guess I'm a failure at the Shoe Show Blog Party. Gosh, do you see those two bites on my left foot? I was gardening the other day and something bit me.

But back to the Shoe Blog Party! Don't let me spoil your fun. I always enjoy seeing other people's shoes. So, don't let a flip-flopper take any excitement and joy away from this party.

Now, you all don't forget to stop by Southern Lady and say hi. Is that Southern enough for you? You can choose to write your own shoe party post or simply find other participating blogs to read and add your comments. And thank you for this invite, Nancy. It really was fun!

  3. You are so cute!!!

I'm so not the flip flop girl but I'm also not a big shoe person. I love barefoot, sandals or pumps.

I love ya. I just posted the message for tomorrow as I won't be online tomorrow until evening and I was having "schedule" post problems w/blogger tonight for some reason.

Thanks again and love and hugs.

  4. Ditto what Sherry said. Today was such a delightful experience for me. And I really like your shoe party post.
I've always enjoyed your blog, but I like it even better now that I have met you. You're a neat lady. I still say neat. It's a generation thing. I have a hard time saying "cool.' OK I'll say it. You're a cool lady.

  7. I don't do shoes either. Most of the year i'm in flip flops/thongs/zoris. Winter time i do clogs when i have to, unless i need snow boots. Clogs are great 'cause i can slip out of them & go barefoot (but not in the snow!)

Barefoot all the way, for me!

  13. Debbie,

I'm like you...I don't need too many shoes...but when I find a pair I like, I grab 'em. I love black high heels for some reason! I love boots! And sandals for Florida is just a must...for most of the year! lol

Enjoyed your shoes, my dear. Happy Friday. Love ya!

  14. Hi Debbie, I knew we were kindred spirits from the get go. When I was teaching preschool all I wore in spring and summer were flip-flops and yes I too had a pair to match every color outfit. I now have three pairs and also a pair of Bare Trap sandals for church. I go barefoot at home all the time unless it is snowing then wear my slippers.
What a wonderful closet you have...wish you could organize mine!
    Love you girl.

  16. I've reached an age when my shoe choices are all about comfort, so I can really identify with your flip flops. (and your polished toes are so pretty, you sure can't cover those up!). laurie
