I had a good summer spent moving and getting settled in our condo. I also had the opportunity to visit family and to rest. I'm ready to get going and have a wonderful school year with our classroom of three year old children.
I had a special blessing yesterday during our church service. Pastor Dan asked all of the teachers, teachers aides, and anyone who works with children's education to come up to the front of the sanctuary. He included the home school moms too. He thanked us for our dedication and commissioned us for service. He then prayed for us. What a blessing!
I am fortunate to work with a wonderful teacher. The two of us enjoy each other and work so well together. This will be our third school year together in the three's. Both of us want to remain positive throughout the year.
I had to share this cute wreath I found on Pinterest (of course). Isn't it the cutest?
And I had to add this saying that I found on Pinterest. This is what all of the children in our class learn to recite. When we pass out scissors and they get green instead of yellow, the little ones say "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit." It works!
I'm still continuing to count those every day blessings.
#467 Finally getting settled in our condo

#472 My rotator cuff is feeling better after working with my Physical Therapist
#473 Having lunch with my good friend Helen
#474 My mother-in-law finally got to see the renovation we've done at the condo
#475 Home cooked meals

I'm linking up with Ann of A Holy Experience for Multitudes on Monday.

I love your passion for teaching your little ones! I know the positive attitude you and Heidi share makes a wonderful classroom.
ReplyDeleteI meant to mention to you after the comment you left me about the job interview. I originally wanted to work with children and was in school for PE. Anyway, I teach Sunday School and considered working with children as you are now...anyway, love the way you let Him direct you, Debbie. Wherever He leads we will follow. And who knows what's ahead. Thank you for being an encourager!
ReplyDeleteCan you believe summer is almost over? Seems like it just began. I pray that your school year is blessed. I know the little ones will be blessed by knowing you.
ReplyDeleteI love that you will hold me accountable! I also love that we will help each other stay off the treats in the lounge :) I look forward to a wonderful school year with you at my side, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteI bet you are excited about your new little ones. That's wonderful that your Pastor called you and other educators forward to pray for you. What a blessing. Thankful to hear you are getting settled in your new place.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteKind of bittersweet that we are counting down the last days of Summer! However there is so much to look forward to, and I know how excited you are! (I am personally excited to start watching football-ha!) What a special blessing for you and all the other teachers yesterday; you are a blessing too Debbie!
ReplyDeleteHave a joyful week!

We're preparing for school to start in a mere 9 days!! We can't believe it. It's been a fantastic summer, but it's hard to think it's slowly coming to an end.
ReplyDeleteThose 17 little three year old's are in for an amazing year! They get a 2-fer ~ you and Jesus! Great deal:))
Blessings...
Good morning! So glad you had a good summer Debbie and you are ready and excited about another year with the little ones. I wish my 3 year old grand daughter could be in your room. She is such a sweetie with personality plus, haha She says the cutest things. I bet you really enjoy them. I love the age. I love that your Pastor prayed for all of you! Enjoy your day! HUGS
ReplyDeleteBack to school! I remember those days with our kids...in fact, just earlier this morning I was thinking how quickly their childhood went. (But, Now, I am blessed with two great grown-up kids!) What a blessing to have the opportunity to teach three year-olds each year. I am looking forward to your posts and the cute pictures you always post! So glad you had a great summer and that you are getting settled in your condo!
ReplyDeleteLove, Joan

ReplyDeleteWe're having our "back to school" Sunday in a couple of weeks. I'm going to make sure I get prayed over as well; I'll be homeschooling our youngest two this year!
ReplyDeleteI hope everything gets off to a grand start, Debbie. It's going to be wild!

What a blessing you and Heidi are for these new little 3 year olds who will be in your class this year, Debbie! And as I know from my own teaching experience, those blessings will be poured back on you both as you serve the Lord in this way.
ReplyDeleteHi. Both of you will inspire a lot of kids in your class. I'm sure of it. They'll learn a lot from you.
ReplyDeleteSomething told me you'd be readying for another school year. Arizona begins earlier than Washington State, and I've enjoyed all the FB & Twitter inputs about harrie moms & spit-shined kiddos.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the new school year, Debbie. Those wee ones are sooooo blessed to have your TLC.
I enjoyed your post. I will be praying for you as you begin a new year with new faces.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Bethany
I'm a teacher too and I know what it feels to begin a new school year. Keep smiling and the kids will smile with you.
ReplyDeleteYour list just makes me smile...and I nod, God you are good...all the time
ReplyDeleteBlessings on your new school year...what a blessing
I enjoyed reading your post. I have been a preschool teacher and assistant director for years. Since I retired a few months ago, this will be my first year not returning to preschool. However, I do have 3 children of my own that I need to make sure they are ready for their first day of school. :) Blessings to you on your new school year. :)
ReplyDeleteHa, that little chant is great for us adults too! You get what you get and you don't throw a fit. :o) Love it.
ReplyDeleteI really love that wreath. What a cute idea!
Love,
Beth
