Here's a little hodgepodge of last week.
I love February! My birthday starts off the month on the first and my dad ends the month on the 28th. However, this month is a leap year.
I have spent much time on Pinterest lately but there are so many interesting and fun finds.
I've missed the kids this week at our Pre-K 3 class. Last week we had pajama day when teachers and students got to wear their pj's to school. I loved that; so comfortable.
We also had snow day in Scottsdale. They brought in manufactured snow and the kids got all bundled up in their snow outfits. It was such fun.
And on Wednesday, I had the loveliest birthday celebration with the children. When someone asked how old I was a child yelled out "she's 10". Another little girl piped up and said "I knew you were 9 before". Now don't you tell them differently, OK? :)

Blessings and love,
Dear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday.
I have prayed for you before writing, for your rapid recovery and happy return to the school.
I can clearly see why you love your work so much. Your work loves you.
The worst problems in working with so small children is that they are sick all the time. They are supposed to be sick so that their immune system shall become activated against the most common germs. (Oh, you are a nurse, you know this better that I do). The problem for the adults is that their immune system may have shut down a bit, so that the teachers keep getting contaminated all the time. Happened to me too.
After some years you will be "reactivated" and can manage to fight infections easier.
Ginger, lemon, garlic and extracts from elderberry blossoms are my best remedies.Besides the children are only better off, when taught good hand hygiene and the use of paper handkerchiefs.
All the best from Felisol
Looks like those kids had fun. So sorry you are sick. Anything I can do for you? I am retired now! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! Sure hope this round of antibiotics helps you get all better! Sweet photos :)
ReplyDeleteI just love Felisol's practical comments above! I hope you are feeling better Debbie, and I'm thrilled that you miss 'your kids'. What a huge blessing they are in your life!

Happy Belated Birthday, Debbie and may your healing manifest soon.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless you more
Debbie,
ReplyDeleteYesterday at BSF we had our Fellowship, and the question we all commented on was, "What was your most fun job?" I know what your answer would be. You really enjoy those children, and I know they are blessed to have you.
HOpe you are feeling better. I too, am tired of this stuff - I mean literally - you just do a little bit, and you feel exhausted.
I saw on FB that you are feeling better and are back to school with your dear little friends, Debbie! Just being with them is good medicine, I think. (And I remember my Pajama Days when I taught ~ loved them!)Click away!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Laurie
Happy Belated Birthday! Those sweet babies are blessed to have you! I enjoyed getting to know you a bit! My in-laws used to live in Phoenix and we always LOVED going for visits!!! Such a fun area! I hope you enjoyed your short lived vacation on Pinterest and are totally back to feeling totally better! XO, Aimee
ReplyDeletePS I'm glad you left me a sweet note so I could learn of your blog! I'm your newest follower!
I love that you love your job and it makes me love God more for the way He loves you and has provided for you!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good dose of love for the Love month!

There is nothing better in your professional career than loving your job... It reminds me however this one: "I love my job... it's the work I hate"!!:)))
ReplyDeleteI pray you'll be better... Sorry I missed your birthday, but please receive my belated birthday greetings to you.
ReplyDeleteYou are a special blog friend, and I want you to know that.
I have been taking kefir for over a year now, and it really has kept me healthy. Google it, and you will be surprised at what kefir does for you. I make my own, it's quite easy to do. All you need are starter grains... and it's easy as 1-2-3!
It's my 4th year of blogging... I'm taking time to thank you for impacting my life with your story. I thank God for allowing our paths to cross on blogland.
Love
Lidia
