What do people see when they see you?
How do you respond to others when you are in a hurry?
Do you treat others with respect and love?
Read what the Bible says and then listen to the words of this Kari Jobe song. Be reminded of who you are to be.
Matthew 5:14-16
New International Version (NIV)
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Blessings and love,
I love this song. Kari Jobe has the voice of an angel (or at least as I think an angel might have! ha).
ReplyDeleteYou are a light, Debbie. Thank you for being one in my life. Thank you too for the encouraging comment you left on my blog this morning. Never underestimate the value of a short little comment here and there! It makes a difference for me.
Love you,
Lisa
Wonderful song. As Lisa said, you definitely are a light!
ReplyDeleteI love Kari Jobe and I love this song too. Thanks for sharing, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteLove this post Debbie! I have been thinking about this very same thing lately. :) Hoping to be a light. Wanting to be close to those that shine their light. I feel an art inspiration working! :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if even we have even an incling of how powerful is the light we harbor & cast abroad? I think it's why so much is accomplished "with-out a word".
ReplyDeleteThere's no doubt in my mind that your light's always "on"!
Great song, too.
Thanks so much for your words on my page. I love to hear Kari Jobe. I think we need to be more aware of others are perceiving us for sure. Sometimes we moan and groan not really meaning it but just because of whatever and others see us and think why in the world would I want what those people have because they are so miserable. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteGood questions. Something to think about.
ReplyDeleteI really like that song. Thanks for sharing it. I hope you are feeling better. Love you ~

ReplyDeleteI went to a funeral a couple of weeks ago, for a young woman, only 40 years old. She had an unknown heart condition, and within three weeks of her sudden illness, she died, leaving behind a husband and three young sons. What a shock, such a beautiful woman, devoted to her family and certainly the Lord. Her father delivered the message at her funeral (of which about 1,000 people attended), and during the event he spoke of her shining light. Then this grieving father had us all do something that I thougth was meaningful...we all sang that little children's song, "THis Little Light of Mine, I'm going to let it shine..." Certainly I have thougth of that several times since that service. I wonder if my light shines, if I were all of a sudden called home to be with the Lord, would my light even be missed? Something to think about..
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to come over and listen to this song when I saw you posted it. What a great song! Thanks for sharing! A new favorite :)
