Aaron Shust sings it and when I heard of his story it became even more special. He and his wife have a young son with a serious medical condition. On KLOVE radio I listened to some of his story. Recently they had a second child and just learned that he also has special needs. Aaron and his wife are clinging to Psalm 62:5.
Psalm 62:5
Contemporary English Version (CEV)
5"Only God gives inward peace,
and I depend on him."
5 "Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him."
and I depend on him."
Psalm 62:5
New International Version (NIV)
5 "Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him."
Whatever challenge you are facing, I encourage you to place your hope in God.
I'm linking up with Amy for Then Sings My Soul Saturday.
Why is it that even though I know my hope comes from Him, I need that pep talk. . . often:)
ReplyDeleteAmen, Debbie...He is the God of Hope. May I always fully rely on Him when my heart aches.

I love this song. My heart goes out to Aaron's family as they face the challenges. I hope God does a similar miracle like He did with the 2 year old!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful weekend!
A great song of hope in the Lord ~ That is so sad about their children. Love you ~
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, :)
ReplyDeleteWhen our hope is in Him, we do have peace in our hearts knowing that He has perfect timing and planned every minute of our days. What an inspiring song and family!
Hugs and blessings for a joyful week!

PS....I will be in your area in April to open a new store; can't wait to see Phoenix! It would be a blessing if our paths crossed! :)
I love that song!
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to chat with you, Debbie. Yours has been one proof after another of God's faithfulness & goodness. No wonder the song has such appeal.
I can hardly wait for the next chapter, AND the next chat.
