It's Word-filled Wednesday and I'm linking up with Internet Cafe Devotions.
Do you ever feel weary? Is your schedule so overloaded and you feel you have no time?
This photo was taken by my godchild Michael's wife Christine. These are their two precious daughters who fell asleep in the car after a busy day.
Yes, a nap can be helpful at times.
But why not give your heavy burdens to the Lord?
He is so much more able to help us as we face challenges in life.
Blessings and love,

Oh yes; I am often weary! LOL!I find myself waking up each morning to an endless list of responsibilities and things to do that often sap my energy and prevent me from focusing on what is really important. I am often reminded of the verses in Isaiah 40:29-31;
ReplyDelete"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." :) :)
I am thankful He always "picks" me up! :)

Great photo for this verse!
ReplyDeleteOh, don't U wish U could sleep like that? Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photo of letting go of care and just resting. Bet Mum was glad they were finally worn out. LOL.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture. Amen to what you said. Things are so much better when you give them over to the Lord. It is better not to do things alone.
ReplyDeleteBlessings Debbie, I woke up so delighted to see your smiling face visiting me... you are so right; too long!
ReplyDeleteThose poor precious darlings so worn out... but so resting! So peaceful! Wonderful photo to illustrate this verse. I agree the naps are helpful but giving our burdens, light or heavy to our Lord releases us from the weight and frees us to walk out our faith. (But we can't be too BUSY because I was recently reminded that BUSY could signify "Being Under Satan's Yoke" and I know we don't need that)... So as you work and study, I hope that you find time to REST like these little ones. Try to stay cool in the heat and enJoy your little people (both these and at work)!
Come Lord Jesus, walk with us and take any burden that we should have given You so we can rest like Your precious Children in Jesus!
Love and peace,
Peggy
Such cute pictures...just yesterday I was reminding myself to give some of the things that are weighing on me to Him!!! Because, yes, HE is so much more able then me!
ReplyDeletehe gives us rest indeed...when we give it to him

I love how kids can sleep so blissfully! A good lesson for us to learn spiritually too.
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable! Love it Debbie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo for this verse...I totally wish I could nap like that!
ReplyDeleteWhat cuties!
Too cute...
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing!
Aw, that is so cute, Debbie. Thank God He cares for us. :) Love you ~
ReplyDeleteSuch a great photo! I definitely feel that way sometimes. It feels so good to give Him our burdens.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Janis
LOVED this post!! And exactly what I needed to read today. Why not give all our burdens to the Lord and just simply rest in Him? Too often we try to carry them on our own, thinking we can handle it... ashamedly, I do that quite often and eventually make a mess of things. Thank you again for this post! Needed this reminder! God bless!! :)
