It's Word Filled Wednesday and I'm linking up on the Internet Cafe.
God is my comforter but how blessed I am that He has provided me with friends who continue to walk alongside me as I go through a difficult season in my life. I'm also blessed that He has brought many new blogging friends into my life who encourage me, teach me and ...love me.
I also learn from the 2 Corinthians 2 verses that I am to reach out to comfort others. After all, I know what that feels like. I find that my heart has become more sensitive toward people going through difficult seasons in their lives.
Blessings and love,

You are so precious Debbie... I love your WFW, and the photo of such precious friends, enjoying life together.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your beautiful comment... it brought tears to my eyes (not hard today lol). You radiate His love and assurance, and I am so thankful for being connected to you, via blogland. What a blessing you are <3
Good Morning, What a joyful picture of friends! May God richly bless you today.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I recently came across that scripture in my study and was glued to the part about being able to provide others with the comfort He's given to me.
ReplyDeleteA friend of ours says that his two favorite words in the Bible are "so that". So that we can comfort others... It is truly a blessing to have friends who comfort and encourage us. I'm also blessed by my blogging friends. Many times, after a hard day, I'll come home and find a comment that is just what I need to hear at the time.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, Debbie.
Joan

Praise the Lord Sis! This is one of my favorite Scriptures and subjects!
ReplyDeleteLove you much!
Hey Debbie! Just wanted to drop by before I head out to school. Been very rainy lately. Yesterday I teased a few fellow students walking towards their car, as I was on my way towards the school, tromping through large rivers...er I mean puddles...I said, "Lovely weather we're having aint it?" (as the rain poured down in "buckets.")
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this was a good post today. These difficult times are made for learning to trust, and also for finding comfort--in the Lord. When my heart was crushed beneath the weight of grief after my sister died the Lord revealed to me Psalm 34:18---He is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (NIV) Whew. Gotta claim that one, even today, with everything going on. Sooner or later, Debbie, this season will pass. It's got to. :) Sending big hugs. Miss you. PS. I'm tired. LOL
That's what's awesome about Him, His love, comfort, etc...are not meant to be kept for ourselves. Meant to be shared. The great thing about it: it is not depleted. It becomes more and more. Glory be to God! You bless us and encourage us, too. Thank you for that sister. God bless and protect you.
ReplyDeleteGreat word Debbie!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I'm so thankful for all the wonderful friends He comforts us through.
Hope you have a BLESSED WFW!!!
So true, Debbie. I believe that God uses our stormy seasons to become more compassionate and are able to help others go through their stormy seasons.
ReplyDeleteLove & peace,
<>< Iris
So true...this crushed vessel can see the hurt that I once must have passed by. My I keep my tender heart and not loose this lesson.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your encouraging words and uplifting blog post!
How Great is Our God!!!!
Whenever I go through a difficult time I try to remember that it probably isn't all about me but rather who the Lord wants me to minister to after I've come through it. But it's hard to think like that when I'm in the midst of the discomfort. I'm a wimp at heart so it takes some real discipline to count my blessings through the trial and to trust that God knows what he's doing.
ReplyDeletePraying for you!
...who comforts us in all our troubles... amen! thank you, Lord, for this assurance.
ReplyDeleteYour picture and Word is such an encouragement me today. I have felt discouraged lately in this as we presently don't have any women's Bible studies since last fall. I do my own personal, but I really need the precious time of accountability with others, too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings Debbie... So very thankful that God is "the God of all comfort".
ReplyDeleteSweet to see you finding comfort with so many friends.
I know that my blogging friends are my life line so often... always pointing me to Our Comforter!
It was a joy to see you visit me and include me as one of those friends. I thought of you the other day when I read "Jesus Calling", hoping that you were reading it also.
"And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort."
...this ministers to me. Thanks!
Peace,
Peggy
Debbie,
ReplyDeleteWhat would we do without the blessings of friends placed on our path by God to hold our hands in the difficult seasons of life...
They give us hope, they encourage and lift us up...they are indeed the image of Christ in our lives...
Peace to you!
lori
Looks like you are very loved... thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeletenice Deb! Happy WFW!
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie...what a timely word for me right now. You have comforted me much and as things come to a close for me in this most difficult season, I hope to be an encouragement to you! Yet let us never forget that Jesus is our most ardent Comforter. Oh how He loves us!
ReplyDeleteSuch a powerful truth, Debbie. He truly does redeem it all, though you and I know that "all" can be daunting.
ReplyDeleteBless you,
Kathleen
Thank God for His comfort and the friends He has given us. Love you ~
ReplyDeleteA lovely Word-Filled Wednesday! :)
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteI want to assure you that you have been a huge encouragement to me...through your timely writings and through your correspondence with me through my daughter's surgery. Thank you so much! You are a blessing!
