God is holy and cannot come into the presence of sin. Sin isn't a popular word these days. But Paul writes in Romans 3:23:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
That means you and me. Jesus came to earth and led a perfectly righteous life. He never sinned. His death and resurrection enables me to receive His life in me so I can come before the Father. I can have peace with God. I am free from sin and death.
Day by day, I'm learning to abide in His presence.
Day by day, He changes my heart's desires.
Day by day, He draws me closer to Him as I read His Word.
As I count my every day blessings, I'm so thankful for His presence in my life. I get to live my life sharing His love with others.
I had to include this photo of little Lizzie enjoying her peanut butter at school. I can't help but think how fun it would be to not care what others think. I somehow think that peanut butter would taste even better! :)

ReplyDeleteWe are neighbors at Ann's this week. Praising God with you especially for #990, relief from joint pains! Thank you for the reminder that who we are in Christ is the important thing, not what others or self may think.
ReplyDeleteGrace and peace to you in our Lord Jesus Christ today.
What an uplifting post! I can always count on you to bring a smile to both my heart and face. And, reading your "thankful list" always causes me to be mindful of things I am also thankful for. Blessings for this new week!
ReplyDeleteSo good to meet another Debbie P.!!! Funny, when I looked at your list I smiled. You watched a show on Alaska? I live in Alaska!!! Blessings on your day!
ReplyDeleteYou ARE an encouragement, to so many. And you will LOVE PicMonkey. I use it to edit all of my photos. Praying you have a blessed and beautiful week my friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a journey these 999 blessings have been, and we have walked with you through all of them Debbie. I know your #1000 will be special, but I'll make it 1001 and say that the blessings I have gotten from YOUR blessings need to be included in your list, so already you are over 1000. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is the second blog post I have read today about who I am in Christ. I guess He really wanted me to hear this today. Praise His name, I belong to Him, and in Him I find my worth.
ReplyDeleteGOD BLESS!
Hi Debbie, You left us hanging to see what the big #1000 is!! A grateful heart lifts our spirits. So glad your joint pains are getting better and that your husband spoiled you this weekend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Janis
