It's Five Minute Friday when I link up with The Gypsy Mama. We are given a word each week and we get to write for five minutes flat. Our word for this week is BEAUTIFUL.
GO
There is beauty all around. The flowers in my garden. The mountains that are uniquely formed into shapes that resemble a camel's back or a praying monk. The sun that shines brightly in the sky. The flags that are flying half mast for 19 days to honor the firemen who died in Yarnell. The words to 'God Bless America'. The music and fireworks as we celebrate the 4th of July. The sweet faces of the preschool children in summer camp as they learn that freedom costs and we are grateful. The faith God gave to me so I could believe. Abiding in that love and experiencing His love in a personal relationship. Having that love overflow to others ...now that's beautiful.
STOP
Blessings and love,

your heart radiates true beauty.
ReplyDeleteComing here from Five Minute Friday! I love the mountains and I chuckled as I read your line: "formed into shapes resembling a camel's back." I have never thought of them that way yet the word picture in my mind brought me to:" Where will that mountain take me in my travels today?"
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...thank you for your post! We truly are a blessed nation!
Amen to that, Debbie. What a beautiful rose you have in your backyard.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend, my friend.
Thanks Debbie, your 5 min writing made me think of times when we can look into the eyes of others and see the beauty of the heart and soul of that person, no matter what shape, size, age or covering they wear. So today for me - go do something for one of those souls who could use a little confirmation, hug and/or act of kindness.
ReplyDeleteYes, That is true beauty.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteYou love your garden. Your roses are beautiful. I can smell their fragrance. Seems you had a wonderful 4th of July. We spent 3 years in the States and were always invited for the 4th of July weekends by friends. One year in St Augustine, Florida, one in Edisto Beach, South Carolina and at Great Guana Cay, Bahamas. We miss our American friends. Europeans does not come close to the kindness and friendship we experienced in the US.

...now this is beautiful. Visiting from FMF. Rosanne
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie
ReplyDeleteThat love that flows from the overflow of a heart that is filled with the love of our Pappa, is just a beauty to behold. Yes, dear friend, freedom costed our Lord just about everything.
Blessings
Mia
Hi Debbie! Thank you for the rose, it is BEAUTIFUL! And it really made me pause when you mentioned the flags at half-staff. I never really thought of that as being beautiful, but it is!
ReplyDeleteThoughtful post today :)
Happy Friday!

Yes, TRUE beauty indeed! Enjoy your week-end Deb!
ReplyDeleteYes! Awesome when we see things around us through God's eyes:)
ReplyDeleteAll beautiful things indeed! Thanking God for the beauty of YOU as well. You are really beautiful, Debbie, inside and out.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your beauty with us. You are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJust love your "beautiful" thoughts, love you too.
ReplyDeleteI am regularly amazed at the ability that people have to write beautifully and fluently at the same time. I'm sort of the stare at the page for five minutes kind of person. I love the flow of this, and it is actually "beautiful."
