True friendship is a gift. I'm fortunate to have many friends. Some I've known since childhood, while others from later in my life. They are all a blessing to me.
While I was on fall break, I entertained for the first time in our very small condo. Nine women snuggled closely together as we had lunch. At least, I still had my good dishes that I used to serve our Strawberry Spinach Salad.
Pinterest has become such an amazing resource for great recipes. The spinach salad recipe was contributed by Sandy of the Reluctant Entertainer . She's known for simple recipes so the focus is on your guests and not fussing in the kitchen.
I'm counting those blessings ...
#555 Fall break
#556 Having friends for lunch in our new home
#557 Beautiful cooler weather in Phoenix
#558 Passion fruit iced tea from AJ's (my favorite)
#559 Receiving beautiful cards from Cindy of Letters From Midlife
#560 Staying in the White Mountains of Arizona
#561 Driving Amy and Paul's Rhino off road
#562 Spotting many deer close up in the woods
I'm linking up with Ann of A Holy Experience as we continue to count our every day blessings.
Blessings and love,
That salad looks wonderful! I was blessed to visit my sister, Marsha and her daughter Laura and family this past week. Way too short a visit, but it was a true blessing to be able to visit with them.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! Friendship is a gift and also how God gives special sisters to us in Christ as the most wonderful friendships of all!
ReplyDeleteThe salad looks wonderful, but I have a feeling the lunch eaten with good friends made it even better. Glad you enjoyed it! HUGS
ReplyDeleteI've found a lot of great recipes on Pinterest, too! That salad looks great! I'm so glad you had a nice time with friends...they are the spice of life, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joan
The reason you have so many great friends, is that you are such a great friend to many. This I know from personal experience!
ReplyDeleteGreat salad, too ...
I am so thankful for all of my friends. The salad looks yummy. And Cindy sent me some of her beautiful cards. I was so blessed!
ReplyDeleteThe gift of friendship and the encouragement we give to each other blesses each of us in a unique and special way, and we must always embrace it. What a special occasion for you Debbie; you are such a wonderful friend! (And obviously a lovely entertainer; beautiful salad!) :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Denise
I don't entertain very much. I used to, but I've gotten away from opening up my home. Too much mess I suppose.
ReplyDeleteThe salad looks yummy. I'd love to try this one. I'll check it out . . . and then maybe I'll invite a friend over;)
