Do You Open Your Heart to Others?

Do you open your heart to others?  Or have you been hurt by others that you thought you could trust?

How easy it can be to hide our hearts.  It seems safer and yet ...so lonely.

We were not meant to live the Christian life alone.

So often we look at other's lives and think that they have it all together.
  • The perfect life
  • The perfect family
  • The perfect body
  • The perfect home
But let's get real.

We all have our stuff that others don't get to see.

Nobody's perfect!

As I watched this promotional video, it reminded me of how much I've come to love my friends, including many blogging sisters I've not even met in person ...YET.

May we encourage one another.

Blessings and love,

  1. I am so thankful for my Christian community! So often we go through life guarded thinking that we are avoiding pain. But in reality, by protecting ourselves in this way we are missing out on the joy that God has for us with a community of believers! You are right...we are not meant to live the Christian life alone. Blessings, Joan

  3. This is a good message for me because it is very easy for me to go it alone. I'm not a very social person naturally so I can isolate myself without thinking much of it.

  5. I have been hurt very deeply...but I still open my heart. I finally went to the Lord and ask Him to make my friendships and not me...since then I have held my hands open and watched who He put in and out of my hands. He is the one that ties our hearts...even in blogland.
Thanks for reminding me to keep my heart open.

  6. Hi Debbie, Just dropping by. Actually, I had come online because I wanted to check on a friend that has just found out that she has breast cancer. I get to looking around and forget what I was here for. Your entry reminded me that I need to encourage her. Thank-you.
