I had the pleasure of meeting Denise Rork of Refine Me blog last evening. There's something special about meeting someone face to face after you've followed her blog and know her heart.
Denise was visiting the Phoenix area as she was opening two new WinCo Food stores. The one she is most involved in is located at 330 West Bell Road. The other store is located at 58th Avenue and Bell. It sounds exciting as the stores are owned by the employees and the prices are low. They are open 24 hours 7 days a week. I want to check it out!
I knew that Denise loved hot spicy foods. After all, she's a native of New Mexico despite living in Idaho at this time. So I asked around at Rancho Solano to get some recommendations. My friend Dorothy suggested El Encanto Mexican Cafe in Cave Creek, AZ. I was glad I took her up on this one.
We were seated on the patio next to their water feature. We had visitors like the ones above as we ate our meal.
It was a casual place with great food. Driving through Cave Creek gave Denise a feel for the desert too. There are often many bikers in this area and there was a rodeo going on at the time.
But the best part of the evening was getting to know Denise better. We talked about our lives and shared how God has worked in them. Denise has a gift for writing and if you've never visited Refine Me, I think you will enjoy. I am going to send her a list of bloggers she MUST get to know. LOL.
I'm really thankful for our blogging world.
This whole week and weekend have been spent continuing to move and paint and unpack boxes. So it was a fun break to get out and spend time with a blogging friend.
If you live in the Phoenix area, be sure to stop by and say hi to Denise. She will be there this week to supervise the opening.
Blessings and love,

ReplyDeleteFunny how we get to know each other in such an intimate way through blogging--it is a gift and you, Debbie, have been such a gift to me.
After all, it was you who inspired me to memorize Psalm 19. I am starting to review it again as it is growing dim since its been a couple or three years since I memorized it. Can it really have been that long? Wow!
I am going to check out your friend's blog.
So glad y'all had a chance to connect face to face. What a blessing.
Love,
Dianne
Dear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteYou always find such elegant restaurants to meet. I could go to Phoenix just to sit at that specific place a whole day.
I'm thinking of you in your time of uprooting once more. Praying that you must find treasures hidden in the darkness. You are such a special sweet person, our Heavenly father will according to his promises protect you on all your ways. I'm looking forwards to hearing how this new phase in your life will develop into hundreds of blessings.
Hugs felisol
Oh, what fun and so glad you had such a nice diversion! I'm going to be meeting a bloggy friend in about a week and a half when Hubby and I head towards South Carolina. I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter week to you!
