LOVE
Story and Christian are three years old. They are in one of the other Pre-K 3 classes but we all spend much time together. These two precious children tell everyone they are best friends.
Our classes take PE together so I was able to get a few cute shots with my camera.
If only life were this simple. If only we would learn to ...love one another.
John 13:34“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
Most children are not scarred by life at this age. It's refreshing to see friendship blossom.
CHANGE
For the past few years, I've struggled with change. Moving when I didn't want to move. Trying to adjust to difficult circumstances. And now ...another move.
But what I realized last evening was that I was content. Greg and I sat in our small living room and talked about how far we've come. We were able to count the many blessings. Our marriage relationship is stronger than it ever was when we had 'everything'.
We're doing all of the work ourselves since it's costly to hire people to do things. In the past, we would think nothing of just calling a vendor to help. But there's something special about putting your own sweat and making it a labor of love. Greg and I are working together as a team.
HOME TEAM
There are several beautiful rose bushes outside our entry.
Celebrating Easter was special. It's the reason I can smile and have hope in this life. Jesus is not dead in the grave. He's alive! His Spirit is living in my heart and how thankful I am.

Oh, Debbie, you are such a testimony and I can't even imagine all the adjustments and changes you have been through in recent years. I pray that the Lord will pour out His blessings up on you in abundance in the years ahead and you place your faith and trust in Him. Easter blessings my friend!

ReplyDeleteWorking together as a team - that is so important in marriage! I love your photos - Christian is one of my 5 very favorite names:) LOL - but Story - is her mom and English Teacher!!! Wishing you sweet blessing as you continue to settle in!
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Easter testimony.
"Our marriage is stronger than ever"..
It's more important than money and costly houses will ever become.
I just have to cling to the fact that "God is still in charge", as a fellow blogger put it.
I praise God for Greg's mother, that she is home and have the two of you living close to her.
She has indeed become blessed through your Odyssey.
Praying for the three of you, and for my Mom, that she must be protected from evil too.
It warms MY heart to read your post and the blessings that have filled YOUR heart!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of those little children. They are so adorable. As always I love your thankful list. Yours is always so encouraging and reminds me to be thankful for all the little things along with the big ones. We have such a gracious God. I hope to get back to my list today.
Contentment...how pleasing that must be to the Lord when we are satisfied with what he gives us. I'm so glad you pave the way showing that contentment is possible through change. It's been such a blessing to read your blog and get to know you, Debbie. Your walk with the Lord is authentic and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteConnecting to you through A Holy Experience. Being content in whatever the circumstances; counting the blessings; and living in Eucharisteo each moment.

Beautiful words Debbie; so glad you and Greg have shared this time to re-adjust not only to your new surroundings, but to give thanks and count the blessings that even the smallest things in life can bring. Isn't it true, "if only life were this simple?" I think it really can be.......with trust, faith, and love. Don't we still just have so much to learn? :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings friend,
