It's Word-filled Wednesday and I'm linking up with Internet Cafe Devotions.
Sometimes we make things too complicated. I remember inviting my friend to church with me. She heard the Good News of the Gospel very clearly. When we left, she turned to me and said "but that's too simple". Don't I have to do ....
She came from a church background of working her way towards salvation. So it was hard for her to accept the free gift of salvation.
Children have no trouble receiving. They love to learn new things. Their smiles are contagious when they finally get something.
Have you received this precious gift yet?
Blessings and love,

In child-like faith :) Precious!
ReplyDeletewe should all have child-like faith. God is pleased with that kind of faith.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder Jesus told his disciples "unless you become like a little child" ....
ReplyDeleteThank goodness he did. Have a blessed day.
Marsha
So True! As we acknowledge our needs and dependency on GOD, our faith grows. HE is our Faithful, Loving Heavenly Father.
ReplyDeleteWe are privileged to be daughters of the KING!
So, so true...I was thinking that this morning while reading to Benjamin. Jesus just said "come and follow me" and the disciples came and followed, how complicated we make His precious gift. It is a gift!
ReplyDeleteChildren are such precious blessings.
ReplyDeleteI am so like that at times, trying to complicate that which is clear and simple... Great reminder that sometimes things are just simple, clear as a bell. Have a wonderful day :)
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteThere is so much we can learn from watching the faith of children; we all need to learn to walk with child-like faith (but not childish faith!) Our faith should be simple and pure, like the perspective of a child, showing our dependence on God. :) Great post!
Blessings and hugs friend,
Denise
Yes, it is so simple and we so over complicate it. Thanks for the reminder ... good timing for me!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, sweet friend,
Lisa
