But have you discovered any blessings even in the midst of your difficult season?
I'm learning to keep my eyes and ears open for those everyday blessings.
God is faithful.
God is good.
And God is unchanging.
We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things
(Chorus)
'Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if the thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
And all the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we'd have faith to believe
Chorus
When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know the pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
Chorus
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise
Blessings and love,
We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things
(Chorus)
'Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if the thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
And all the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we'd have faith to believe
Chorus
When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know the pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
Chorus
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise
Blessings and love,
Isn't this an amazing song? I love it too, Debbie. I had a friend last Sunday night tell me that she found it last weekend at just the right time, as she deals with hard issues in her life right now.
ReplyDeleteGod is so good to bless us with sweet music to remind us of how faithful, good, and unchanging he is.
Have a blessed weekend!
Love you,
Lisa
Love this Debbie! Pxo

ReplyDeleteGreat song! Thanks for sharing it. I have found it to be so true. Though difficult times will come, God will always bring something good from them!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteThe words from this song are so encouraging. In our darkest trials, we tend to think God is absent and working. Yet, perhaps His deepest work and blessings are being done.
Thanks for the music and your visit today and for the IRL post. We need to plan an IRL for us. You are so close to me! I'd love to meet you.
Blessings,
Janis
