Sharing His Beauty is a new blog hop that was started by Joan Davis of The Beauty in His Grip. I began following her blog in 2010 after she became a contributor to Laced with Grace. I loved Joan's style of writing and I found many similarities in our lives. We both recognize that we are on a journey of growth as we live out our Christian beliefs despite many challenges.
So, I decided to participate in Sharing His Beauty this week.
As I turn my focus to God, I'm so thankful for the beauty He has shown me through my blogging friends. The internet has brought us closer together. I would never have known many of you except through our blogging world. There are many that I've shared personal emails with and I've received many words of encouragement.
When I returned home from a short trip this week to Florida, I had several messages from blogging friends. How that warms my heart!
Sonja of '...bits and pieces' and Janette of Janette's Sage are two that I'll mention.
And even when I was on my trip, I had the opportunity to speak with Lisa Shaw of Sharing Life with Lisa. She just released her new book called "You are Beautiful in God's Eyes". I hope you will check it out. Lisa is such an encouragement to others.
And I have to add that Joan of The Beauty in His Grip has been such a blessing and a source of encouragement to me too.
Have you made some special friendships through blogging?
Blessings and love,
loved your words this morning!

Oh Debbie! You honor me with your kind comments! Thank you! I totally agree...I have been blessed by blogging and through the wonderful people I have met "out there"! Thank you for your friendship and prayers. You have been (and still are) an encouragement to me in my walk with Christ. Have a blessed week, Debbie! Thank you for linking up today.
ReplyDeleteLove through Christ, Joan
Hi Debbie - firstly, thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog. I really appreciate it and secondly, I'm glad I came back over to visit yours. I have been blogging for nearly 8 months now and I have been so inspired and encouraged by all the bloggers I have met. For me, in South Africa, having all these bloggy friends the other side of the ocean is awesome. So yes, the blogging community has shown me some of God's beauty and i am grateful and all the better for it.
ReplyDeleteGod bless
Tracy
That's awesome, Debbie! I'm so thankful for the blogging friends in my life, and you and Lisa are at the top of my list!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your encouraging comments on Smelling Coffee. I read your posts by e-mail, but its hard to reply from my phone. I'm writing the last two chapters of the book today, then waiting for the Lord to reveal to me the next step... Thanks so much for your prayers - and your friendship.
Love you and praying for you too!
Jen
Thank you Debbie...you are so sweet. I think you missed my post on "Celebrating Bloggers" in which I also said the same thing.
ReplyDeleteGod has brought such encouragement and healing to me through blogging...and you have been such a great source of that. You started following at the beginning when I didn't have a clue what I was doing. Our stories are similar and yet different...but the heart issues are very much the same...both wanting to glorify God through the storms.
Hugs and thanks again,
Janette
It's always easy to encourage you Debbie... you are such a light, and your heart reveals so much on your pages that encourage all the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteYes, these blogging friendships are real and enrich our lives. I love my 'blogging buddies'!
Love you sis!

I can say that I have come to
ReplyDeletelove and enjoy my blogging
friends as much as my face
to face friends. All are a
true treasure from the Lord,
including you.
Love,
Sandy
Oh Debbie I just couldn't agree more. My blogging friends have an everyday blessing for me that I never imagined. What a world it opened up. Hope you have a good week! HUGS
ReplyDeleteAww, Debbie you mean SO much to me! Our phone conversation early last week and your beautiful prayer over me STILL resonates in my heart. I love you and I'm thankful that you are one of my genuine friends. Thanks for mentioning my book. I pray God is glorified in and through it for each life that is touched by it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE YOU!!!
Debbie:
ReplyDeleteI too am so encouraged by the many blogging friends I have "met". The internet has provided us with a wonderful way of communication and also sharing the Gospel.
I feel blessed to consider you as one of my blogging friends!
Blessings,
Joan
I am so thankful for the many wonderful friends I've made though blogging. They hold me up in prayer, strengthen and encourage me along the way. And I've been privileged to meet a few, like YOU, in person!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how blogging connects people with different lives and perspectives ... but all with a similar heart and vision :)
ReplyDeleteMost nights I try to write down what I am thankful for. Yesterday I wrote making new blogging friends, so I agree with you! I just visited your friends blog and thought I would link up. It is great to meet new friends.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gayle from Behind the Gate
I had to choke back tears while reading this. I've just come from Gayle's Behind the Gate blog and the emotions began there.
ReplyDeleteYes, I, too, am overwhelmed by the warmth of friendship that I feel from blogging friends I've never ever met. The words, our writings that we share with one another to encourage and inspire are truly God's wonderful grace.
I came from Joan's The Beauty in His Grip link. Glad to have met you here :).
