Thankful Heart

Debbie on Clearwater Beach
My heart has become more sensitive lately as I realize how thankful I am.  The other day I was reading from Sarah Young's devotional "Jesus Calling".   Let these words resonate within you.

"As you turn your attention to Me, feel the light of My Presence shining upon you.  Open your mind and heart to receive My heavenly smile of approval.  Let My gold-tinged Love wash over you and soak you into the depths of your being.  As you are increasingly filled with My being, you experience joyous union with Me: I in  you, and you in Me.  Your Joy - in - Me and My Joy - in- you become intertwined and inseparable.  I suffuse your soul with Joy in My Presence; at My right hand there are pleasures forever more."

This morning I awakened with this song in my head called "Who Am I?"  I wanted to share it with you this morning. May you be blessed as you listen to the words. How can we not  be thankful?

I'm linking up today with Laurie of Women Taking A Stand for Thankful Thursday.

I'm also continuing to participate in the Giving Thanks Challenge 2010 hosted by South Breeze Farm.  I'm keeping track each day on my sidebar.  It's not too late to join in.

  3. Hi precious!

Beautiful post. You know I'm a HUGE Jesus Calling person! That devotional walks with me.

I pray you and Greg had a wonderful Anniversary yesterday.

How was the visit with Kathleen? Did you girls give each other a hug from me?

Call me soon. Love you much!

  4. Happy anniversary, Debbie. My Greg & I just celebrated 26 years last week. We're so blessed!

I love what you shared from "Jesus Calling" today. The song is also one of my favorites. I don't own the book but it reminds me of "God Calling" or "Come Away My Beloved." I love both of them.

Just stopping in to say that I am thankful for you!

    Much love in Him!

  9. My 9 y/o son has a CD with "Who am I" on it. He puts it on "repeat" every night and listens to it all night long. Every night.

I love the truth of that song and that it is permeating my son's little heart.

    I'm thankful for our friendship.
    Blessings,

  14. I love that song too. I think in times of hardship we do become more sensitive to what there is to be thankful for. That's been the silver lining for me. Thanks for the reminder to look for those things.

(p.s. I'm having a cookbook giveaway at my blog if you're interested.)

  17. I thought I'd stop by and see if you put up a picture anyway even though Alicia didn't put up her regular meme, but this is just as good if not better. I totally love this song. How pretty and the words are fabulous. We do have so many things to be thankful for, but for now I'm thankful for work picking up & I have to get back to it. I transcribe at home. Thanks for sharing my friend, and have a great weekend.

  18. Happy Anniversary to you and Greg.

There are wonderful things in store, dear Debbie.

I always have been a firm believer that our latter years, if we are walking in obedience to the Lord, are certainly more glorious than our former years.

    Be filled with hope.

This post was a blessing to me.

    Love
