I was tagged by Melanie of Mel's Coffee Break.
She gave me 7 questions to answer.
So here goes:
1. What is your life slogan / verse / motto?
Matthew 5:16 "...let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
2. What one piece of advice would you give to your "younger" self is you could?
Sin is fun 'for a time' but there are consequences. Instead follow God and don't get sidetracked.
3. What do you enjoy most about blogging?
That's easy; it's getting to know my blogging friends. During this season of my life, I've not been able to be out socializing very much. Having blogging friends has been a joy and an encouragement. And I've even met a few in person.
4. Do you have any dreams that have been on the back-burner that you still would like to achieve?
I'd love to write a nonfiction book called "Heart Choices" and speak.
5. What is something new you would like to learn?
I'd love to learn to kayak. I have good upper body strength so I think I could do this. Oh and one more ...
I'd also like to learn to speak Norwegian fluently. I know some but not enough to carry on a conversation. I use Google translate to communicate with my Norwegian relatives.
6. What is something about you that we would be surprised to learn?
I'm afraid of heights. Greg took me skiing on our honeymoon and I freaked out after getting off the ski lift. I once had to sit on the floor of a gondola because it was windy and we were so high up. I couldn't look out at the view even though we were in Norway.
7. If you found $100 bill, (lucky you!) what would you buy?
Right now, I'd give it to someone in need. I've not been able to do that much lately and I love to help others. OR maybe I'd get my hair cut? :)
OK ...so now I have 7 questions to ask the following bloggers (and btw, if you don't like to participate in this that's fine):
1. Janette of Janette's Sage
2. Tammi of A Vessel in the Potter's Hand
3. Amanda of My Secret Garden
4. Lea of CiCi's Corner
5. Jocelyn (Godsgalnj) of His Kindness Yet Pursues Me
6. Sonja of bits and pieces
7. Cindy of Letters from Midlife
Here are your 7 questions:
1. If you could travel anywhere with no thought to cost, where would you choose to go?
2. What song would you choose for someone to sing at your funeral?
3. If you could spend a day with anyone, (dead or alive) who would you choose?
4. What do you want people to remember you by? (since I got a bit morbid)
5. Are you a early morning person or a night owl?
6. What is your favorite meal to prepare?
7. What would a perfect day be like for you?
I'm looking forward to reading your anwers! And no pressure to post immediately ...
Blessings and love,

It's always great to know more about you sister. My family and I enjoyed kayaking...For me, as long as the water is still...it's really fun! I hope you get to try it sometime.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and God bless and protect you always.
That's funny how it immediately posted when I hadn't even completed my name! :) Sorry. But it's me!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! Thanks for playing along, and I loved getting to know more about YOU! I completely agree on getting to know other bloggers! I work full-time and have two little ones so it's very hard for me to go 'out' and socialize with other ladies...
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful week!
Blessings!
Melanie

ReplyDelete=D I got tagged! =D
ReplyDeleteLoved your answers... especially the advice you'd give to youth as well as what you enjoy about blogging.
Hope you have a blessed week!
Debbie:
ReplyDeleteI like your answers! Now you've given me 7 questions... why is it that reading my own answers is not nearly as much fun as reading someone else's?? :)
For sure, aside from all the other things in common, we could definitely do a Norway trip together! I would walk right behind you as you talked with everyone in your newly mastered Norwegian language. :)
This was fun Debbie...
Love you sis!
What fun to read your answers!
ReplyDeleteI can resonate with your answers here -- especially about making connections with friends through blogging. Two weeks ago, I met about 15 blogging friends in Texas. We had gotten connected through the High Calling network (www.highcalling.org). We'd already built relationships online, but it was so amazing to see each of them face to face.
ReplyDeleteSuch awesome answers.
ReplyDeleteI am always excited to learn something new about you Debbie :).
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
Love & Peace,
<>< Iris
I can relate to your #2 answer. That sounds like something I would say to my younger self:)
ReplyDeleteIt was fun getting to know more about you! I think it's great that you would like to write a book one day. I would like to write a devotional book one day. I doubt I could ever kayak. I don't like the water much! Have an awesome week my friend.
ReplyDeleteI loved your answers Debbie and can relate to all of them except the kayak (rowing!). Too much hard work there hehehe.
ReplyDeleteUm, I will do one... (before Jesus returns, I promise!) haha just kidding. Will do one soon... I like these tag things only because you get to learn more about each other.
Hi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your answers to these questions - helped me get to know you a bit more.
I love your motto... let your light so shine before men.
Been reading up a bit on your blog.
Keeping you close,
Lidj
Debbie, I have played, so now you had better come over and read my answers :P
ReplyDeletelove ya!
Hey Debbie! Thanks for tagging me. I just now got to answer the questions. Now, if only I could figure out how to "tag you back" Or at least let you know I did it. Hey, I guess I just did. LOL Gotta run to class. well, make that DRIVE. HA
ReplyDeleteHave a great day ! Miss U!
PS. I'm totally afraid of heights too! I would be doing the SAME thing you described, if in the same situation! :)
As much as blogging has become a part of my daily routines and joys, and my blog friends are an immense source of inspiration, spiritual fellowship and interpersonal love and understanding, I have to put myself on sick leave for a while.
ReplyDeleteI've had as a principle that I at least should answer and keep in touch with the ones that bothered to visit and comment on my blog.
Lately I haven't been able to do that, and that makes me feel so shameful.
I have been struggling with this chronic fatigue syndrome for two decades, lots of broken bones due to osteoporosis, arthritis and now also gastritis.
I am blessed to live in Norway. I have appointment with our family doctor once a month, physiotherapist once a week, and I go hiking and swimming also a least once a week to keep this old machinery running.
I have family, a few, but dear friends and best of all husband Gunnar and Serina who care about me, and vice versa.
Thanks to Teach Mary and Gunnar I also have reached a new level of enjoying photographing.
To me blogging has been about sharing, preferably of the good things in life. Thinking about my blog friends make me feel rich, happy and conscious about values and interests beyond my own sphere.
I will in random order thank Terry, Amrita, Mrs. Mac, Saija, Lidj, Crown of Beauty, Trish, Debbie, Sonja, John C, Jim, Teach Mary, Leora, Robin from Israel, Pilgrim father David, Annie, Julie LBM, Constance, Pat, Diane, Cheryl, Deb, Maria Stahl, The Montreal Sisters, Colleen, Kris, E G Wow (who taught me to enlarge photos), Carletta, ilandavita, Nora Johnsen, reg,
Ralph and Patti and Raven. You have all put so much wisdom into my life, broadened my horizon and opened my heart.
I will be back. I simply cannot be without you. Please bear over with me and say a prayer if you feel like.
It was fun reading your answers...these were some good questions. I especially liked #2...pretty sure that would make a good blog post.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie,

ReplyDeleteHow fun...I will get to it this week...a little sidetracked with cast boy and pumpkin patch, so my post were already written for this week.
