It's Word Filled Wednesday when I link up with the Internet Cafe.
The Word for today comes from Matthew 6. Jesus is talking about how we are not to worry. He's talking to believers and that's me. Instead of worrying about what I will eat or drink or what I will wear ...I need to trust Him.
He supplies the birds with food, even in the desert of Arizona. How good is our God?
This photo was taken by Richard Doyle from Arizona. He is the step-dad of my friend Tina and is very talented with his photography.
Love the photo taken by Richard. Yes, he's very talented. The word you shared today is so true. This verse has been playing in my mind a lot lately. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD
ReplyDeleteA good time for me to read this! As I am thinking of our daughter's wedding, am wondering when your neice's wedding will be.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I just got a new bird feeder and have had more fun watching them come and go....just said to each other how free they look, and we longed to "try out their wings"! This beautiful verse is so powerful...how much more He cares for US. Now just let's go and BELIEVE IT!!!! Makes my day. Please still can't you come in our suitcases to Norway??
xxxxxx 3rd sis,
Carol Joy
Beautiful photo indeed and perfect for that particular verse. Thanks for the reminder to not to worry.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!

We just have to trust and obey, huh? Should be so simple, yet it seems very difficult to do at times.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
The reason I focus on these kind of verses is because I need to be reminded over and over. You'd think by now I would have it all together but NO WAY. Spiritual growth is a process. My part is to abide in Him. He makes it easier for me to ...trust and obey!
ReplyDeleteCarol Joy, I just want you to know that there's no place I'd rather be than with my new sisters in Tromso, Norway for the wedding. I love you and Sonja and I'm so thankful that the Lord brought us together. It truly was a God thing. And btw, I'm reading "Everything by Prayer" by Fred A. Hartley III. Love it and you!
hugs and love,
Debbie
I forgot one more think Carol Joy. Kristin is getting married Labor Day weekend in St. Petersburg, Florida. Greg and I will be there one way or another.
ReplyDeleteExcellent word and one amazing picture!!!
ReplyDeleteWow - what a shot and what an apropos verse to accompany it! This is one of my favorite verses - I read it when I am feeling a little too anxious about things I cannot control.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a blessed day!
Oh Debbie ~ what a precious picture! What a beautiful note from the Lord today! I love how HIS Word is soooo alive and active and speaks to each one of us in such proufound ways ~ a gentile reminder, a word filled with HOPE, an encouraging moment in the day
ReplyDeleteNo matter what HE speaks straight to our hearts!

OMGosh! Love this!! What an AMAZING photo and, of course, perfect scripture for all us girls ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my post today...it's sooo appreciated!!!!
What an awesome photo Debbie! It must be so much easier for the birds to trust them for food, etc ... They live by instinct and we think too much. :o)
ReplyDeleteDebbie, BACKATCHA!!! Trust me, Sonja and I love having a 3rd Norwegian sister so much too! And thank you more than you know for your prayers for my daughter's wedding....the man she is marrying reminds us in ways of my father, we couldn't be more thrilled.
ReplyDeleteThank you for being such a darling friend. Our thought processes just go along the same lines so much I can hardly believe it! Isn't God good for giving us new sisters? We all can help one another in this process called "life"! Love it! And love YOU!

I don't know when you studied this verse this morning, but about 7:45 I was in Matt 6 reading the same thing because I woke up worrying.
ReplyDeleteLove you, Debbie!

Once again, God is speaking a single message to me through the various posts on WFW. It's no less miraculous no matter how many times I experience it. Indeed we are moved by one God.
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI've worried my whole life until I learned it was a sin. Now, I struggle but I hand those worries over to my capable Jesus and try my best not to look back!
Great pic!
Love you!
