Have you hear about (in)encourage? It's a new website that begins today, August 10, 2009.There are about 20 bloggers who will be writing for (in)courage and they describe it as:
"When we asked ourselves what kind of place we were
building, we finally came to see it as a bit like a beach house. You can put your sandy, dirty feet on the coffee table, laugh late into the night with friends, and also hear God’s voice clearer than perhaps anywhere else. Life just feels more vibrant and real, as if you’ve stumbled upon a glimpse of heaven and it’s nothing like you ever imagined but everything you’d always hoped."
The Christian subsidiary of Hallmark is Dayspring and (in)courage is a part of this.
Today, they're inviting bloggers to share what encourages them. I thought it would be fun to participate so here's my list:
- Knowing that God loves me
- Seeing a baby smile
- My family and friends
- Hearing my husband say he loves me
- The beauty of nature
- Hearing birds sing
- A rainbow in the sky
- My blogging friends
- Comments on Heart Choices
- When my real life friends read my blog
There's much more but I'll keep it brief today. You can join in and link up on (in)courge. I encourage you to do so. Get it? LOL.
Have a great day and ...encourage someone else.
What (in)courages me during the bad is knowing that all seasons end. What (in)courages me during the good is that one day it will never end ;)

Hi Debbie,
ReplyDeletethank you for inviting me to view your lovely blog I love it and the concept also. I am so sorry to not have visited more...I keep waiting for my life to slow down but it just hasn't I have some much going on with the 4 kids and trying to work to help with expenses plus helping with my parents...I have kind of lost interest in blogging and find facebook to be faster for me to keep in touch.
Have you hooked up to facebook, that is where I keep up with most of those who I blogged with.
Yesterday my three kids got baptized and I hauled my mom and dad to the event. My mom is pretty good living at home on her own but my dad is still in the nursing home and when we take him out he requires A LOT of attention but....because of the spiritual guiding they gave me all of my life I thought would my kids be getting baptized if my parents had not raised me the way they did... possibly not so I knew I must take them to see it and it was worth the work.
I will try to visit your site more often, God knows I need encouragement all the time. i love to read Joyce Meyer or listen to Joel Osteen...but I will check you out. Keep in touch I have made a dear friend in you and thank you for not getting away : )
Hi Debbie, You encourage me!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
Thanks so much for letting us know about this site! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteI posted about encouragement, too :)
I hope you are having a lovely Monday!
You encourage me,
Kate :)
Dear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteyou are a special encourager to your fellow bloggers.
Always you'll pass on something nice and friendly, making one feel seen and appreciated.
You've got this rare gift.
I think you're carrying your troubles to God, and that's fine.
He can give you the best help of all.
I know I sometimes blow out on my blog as well as placing my burdens with God Almighty.
I also must admit that the bloggers' encouraging words strengthen me.
Be how is best for you.
I wish you all well and only well both in real world and in cyber space.
How I am glad that you once found me.
From Felisol
Hi Sweet Sister,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your message and I'll have to check them out.
What (in)courages me?
1. God's love is the story of my life.
2. My awesome husband.
3. My children and grand children.
4. Friends on and off line
5. Ministering to the needs of others
6. A hot cup of coffee in the a.m. while reading the Word.
You are my friend and that is great (in)couragement to my life. Love ya.
This is a great idea.

Family, sometimes (dis)courages too;
Friends, of whom you are so very special
Nature
Reading a good book that inspires me to be a better person;
Hearing a good message or being involved in a good Bible study
There's more, but thank-you for just getting me to thinking about this. With so many discouraging things going on around us, it is good to remember all the things that (in)courage us.
Oh, thank you for the note that it is possible to link in to the site. I looked at the site -- a little rapidly, I guess -- but did not notice any linky. I will go back and look again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling us about (in)courage. I'll head over there right now. I love your list, by the way. Those same things bless me too.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day in Jesus...
Jennifer
