Then Sings My Soul Saturday ~ I Surrender All

Since it's Saturday ...it must be "Then Sings My Soul Saturdays".

I'm joining with Amy of Signs, Miracles and Wonders and you can link there to join us or find other participating blogs. Listen and enjoy and sing right along.

My choice of songs for this week was easy. If you follow Heart Choices, you know that I've been participating in Ladies on a Mission with my good friend Lisa Shaw. We're in the midst of 7 days of laying it ALL down.

How often we women are so burdened with things that we need to lay down at the feet of Jesus and ...not pick them up again?

I'm not usually a very emotional person but I have to say this has been a bit tough for me. However, I do believe this process is going to be so good for me.

I'm ready to lay it ...ALL down!

How about you? It's not too late to join us.

My song for TSMSS is: I SURRENDER ALL. The words to this song say it all.

  3. Debbie,

This song reminds me of the song that I was singing when I gave my life to the Lord "Just as I am". I don't know why...they are a bit similar but it just speaks so to my heart!

Thank you for posting this one today! I am so glad you are participating on TSMSS each week because your selections are precious, just like you!

    Love ya bunches, my friend.

  4. Many sweet Blessings to you Debbie,

I read that on the first day of LOAM this song came to you with CeCe Winans singing it & oh how I love her voice but this "I SURRENDER ALL" with Brian Littrell(who I don't know) was
    just as beautiful!

I guess it's what comes from the Spirit!

    Thanks for choosing to share...
praying for a wonderful week & weekend continuing on your journey of surrendering with this purpose of going deeper...May His sweet Presence surround & cover You with much grace & encouragement to take you through as He breaks through &

  5. Debbie,

I just looked at Lisa's 7 day challenge. I loved it and was so touched by her prayer on day 3. Thank you for telling us about it. What an encouragement it has been. I love the song you chose to go along with it. I pray that all of this will bring peace and comfort to you knowing that others share your pain and are praying for you. Sue

  6. What a wonderful 7 day challenge! I'll check out the site. I so often do what you say--I'll lay down my burdens, but pick them back up again the next day. Jesus wants it all; all the time! Bless you.

  7. I'm surrendering some things as well. To make sure i don't pick it up again, I'm nailing it to the cross.

    Blessing to you,
    Sarah Dawn

  9. What an appropriate song. Everytime I hear it, I am reminded of the time we attended a "Just Follow Jesus," event. AGL ask us to find a white tissue, a white reciept, a white piece of paper. We sang "I Surrender All," while waving those white flags of surrender, tears steaming down our faces. I came away feeling lighter, but as often is the case, over time, we start to pick up the "stuff." I need to hear the song daily, remembering that Jesus has already taken care of the burden. Love you, h

  10. I always love that hymn. I want none of self and all of Him! It is sad that some Christians ask Jesus to be their Savior, but never their Lord because they still want to control their own lives.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.
