I was greeted with this message on my blogger acccount:
Blogger had Heart Choices listed as a possible spam blog! Can you believe it? Of course, I reviewed the Terms of Service to see if I'd inadvertently violated something. No; I hadn't!
Notice that I was unable to publish new posts until the issue was resolved and ...my blog would be deleted within 20 days unless I requested a review!
So, of course, I requested a review. But in the meantime, I was scheduled to host In Other Words Tuesdays for the first time the next day. I had written my post but had been experimenting with the Mister Linky thing. After all, I'd never done this before and I wanted to be sure it all went very smoothly.
Isn't that how things can sometimes go?
It brought back memories of the morning I was scheduled to take my driver's license test. I guess I was 16 years old. My parents weren't available and so my next door neighbor was going to drive me there. Well, wouldn't you know what we were greeted with when we were ready to leave.
Two flat tires!
Not one, but two! Can you believe it? It was such an important day for me. I hoped to get my driver's license which at that time meant ...freedom!
Well, the two flat tires got fixed in time. Whew! And I got my driver's license. But I'll always remember that day.
And in case you're wondering ...Heart Choices is NOT a spam blog!
Blogger had a real person check it out and confirmed that it must have been one of their robot spy thing errors. So, thankfully I got back up and running just in time for hosting In Other Words Tuesdays. How's that for timing?
I had been reading Romans that morning. Here's what Romans 12:12 says:
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in
prayer."
Hmm ...maybe I just needed to put into practice what I'd read.
How about you? Have you had one of those days that you'd care to share? And has anybody else's blog been labeled a spam blog besides me?
To funny in an not so funny way.... Glad it all worked out!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad things worked out for your blog. I've not been targeted that way but I also don't do links and downloads so there's probably less chance that some kind of error. It was probably just a glitch in something downloaded on your page and the robot targeted it as spam.
ReplyDeleteThat same thing happened to me a few months back. But I was still able to post and everything. But it sure did freak me out thinking my blog and all it's hard work and memories was going to be deleted.
ReplyDeleteBut your post made me laugh because my post today was about lack of motivation! LOL.
I'm glad it worked out for you!
Blessings,
Kim
We call this in Oz "Murphy's Law" - an negative coincidence that is too perfect to be considered coincidental...lol. Glad you're back though ;)
ReplyDeleteBless your heart! Although I haven't had the joy yet with blogger I once had a yahoo email address that sent, ahem, graphic material to everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, in my address book. It was embarassing and I was contacted by yahoo for violating the TOS. I explained that I was asleep at 4:00 a.m. and there was no way I could have done it. I had been hacked. I deleted that account and haven't had any trouble since. I'd freak if something happened with my blog. It's my baby. LOL.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! That's never happened to me before! How weird! I'm glad everything turned out okay, though!
ReplyDeleteI've had those random and crazy days before, yes! Whew!
Blessing,
Kate :)
I know what you mean about having one of those days. I guess God uses those days to teach us lessons though.
ReplyDeleteBless your dear heart, sorry for the problems.
ReplyDeleteNot yet, but it's a scary thought! Glad all has been resolved. Yes, I've had days like yours; rather than writing about them, I usually just a find a corner and curl up and cry.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you.
peace~elaine
Debbie,
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't happened to me but my sweet friend, Kimmy had hers labeled as spam. It was terrible.
I'm glad everything worked out for you and you were able to resolve matters....praise the Lord!
Blessings to you, my sister.
That is so strange Debbie. I'm glad it all worked out and your blog is safe!
ReplyDeleteLove!
Beth
Dear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI have been lucky so far.
Norton runs check every week, and I hope I'm pretty uninterestingly safe.
But I am very familiar with plans that do not work out, or worse must spend time in bed instead of with my friends.
That has a sour taste.
Hope you all are doing well in these flue times.
Here we are hoping for the best and preparing for 17th of May.
From yours Felisol
I liked your attitude, very adaptable, calm & flexible. Technology can sometimes be frustrating- one minute it's heaven, the next minute it's hell, hehehe...
ReplyDeleteGlad it worked out fine^-^
