Happy Mother's Day! It's a day to celebrate all mothers. It can also be a day of sadness for some. My mom died in 2005 and I miss her all the more on Mother's Day. Here we are celebrating her 75th and last birthday. But I am comforted knowing that I will see her one day again. Thank you Jesus!
Mother's Day used to be harder for me. But something wonderful has happened in the last few years. I feel as though I've inherited a family of children. Since starting my job at Rancho Solano Preparatory School, I spend my days with children. This has been my fourth school year and I work with Pre-K 3's. I also get to spend my afternoons with Pre-K 4 children in an after school program.
The children are amazing. They are so open and loving. And I am so grateful!
So on this Mother's Day I want to wish all the mothers out there the best. I pray that you will be celebrated. This video will touch your heart, I'm sure.
I'm linking up with Barbie of My Freshly Brewed Life for The Weekend Brew.
Blessings and love,

Oh Debbie! I was tearing up at the end...what a beautiful video. And I am so happy that you see how you are really a mother to so many little ones at your school. You'll have more children than any other mother, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this video. I loved it.

Such a beautiful post, and the video, Debbie! It's wonderful how the Lord leads our paths ... The photo of you sliding down with the children on your formes post is worth a 1000 words!Blessings to your week, Nina
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful words. I understand what you mean about working with children. I feel the same way.
ReplyDelete"Why are you wishing me a 'Happy Mother's Day?" asked my friend whose sister had passed away and left 2 very young nephews then.
ReplyDelete"Because you loved and cared and helped so much for those precious boys to turn up to where they are now...Unconditionally..."
And I will also say the same thing to you..."Happy Mother's Day sister!" Because I know if you know how to love and care for those children that surround you, then you know how to do the hard job of being a "mother..." A special gift from the Lord.
I loved that video and reminded me of my own mother who wanted nothing but the best for her children, despite all the trials she had to go through, all she did was worked hard and gave her best to help us achieve our goals.
I know that eternal void we both share...Thank you for reminding me that we will see them one day...in His place...I have reasons to shed tears...But not of sadness...Instead of joy...God bless sister and be strong in His mighty power!
Mothers everywhere are thankful for mothering teacher who love our kids and are wonderful influences in their lives. Thank you. Visiting from Weekend Brew.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of you and your mom Debbie. She was beautiful, and so is her daughter! I can't wait till we meet one day in heaven, and our mothers can sit and talk with us... or maybe they have already met! It wouldn't surprise me.
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Thanks for sharing Debbie...hugs to you! I wanted to share what my new young foster son wrote me on Mother's Day. What a day!
