What voice do I listen to?
- The one who tells me I'm not pretty enough, good enough, thin enough?
- The one who creates doubt and fear within me?
- The one who says your situation will never change?
I'm linking up with Amy of Signs, Miracles and Wonders for Then Sings My Soul Saturday.
Blessings and love,
Thank God, for the Voice of Truth!
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI so like the hymn, "Just as I am."
It's also translated into Norwegian. I sing it with a full and relieved heart. I'm loved and saved "Just as I am."
Good morning! These thoughts are very similar to the ones the Lord has been working with me on. I love it. It is just soo true. We MUST renew our minds and transform our lives EVERY single day. Hope you have a good week-end! HUGS
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, it is a choice who we listen to but often choices become habits and ones that need to be changed...Thank you for reminding me to stop and think about all choices I am making all through the day....
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.....rest some..
I HAVE Loved this song since it came out...I play it over and over again. The new one I play over and over again is the one I posted Sunday. I love how music can just go down into our souls and bring such wonderful truth and strength,.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...I will be singing it all day and that is good!
Good for you. Keep listening to the right voice.

Love this song! You know, as I've grown older I am much better about discerning fact from fiction. The truth may be tough to get at sometimes, but it sure beats the alternative. I spent waaayyyyy too many years jumping through hoops to go back now. Besides, Truth always leads to freedom if we'll but obey (John 8:31-32)
ReplyDeleteThis was a timely post, Debbie. Sometimes I mistakenly listen to the voice of my childhood, but then God reminds me that I am HIS child, and His is the voice that prevails.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful, Dear. Thanks for sharing it. Love you ~
