When life gets hard-
- do you run to tell others?
- do you keep to yourself as you try to figure out a solution?
- do you try to pretend that nothing has changed to keep up appearances?
- do you get so depressed you don't want to leave your home?

Blessings and love,
Blessings Debbie! I'm on my way to Laced with Grace...
ReplyDeleteJust finished reading...I say "ditto" as you know and I too have found that my only source is in Him...I knew that before, but this time it is deeper.
ReplyDeleteI talked to a young mother recently going through financial struggles, what she voiced was the shame. I think the shame can be overwhelming and bring hopelessness as in the examples you just mentioned.
May we learn to see when shame is on someone and extend our loving hands and feet...in other words, be the Body of Christ to a hurting world.
I went over and read your story on Laced with Grace. I've experienced that the only solution to my problems, is bringing them before the Lord in prayer.
ReplyDeleteI know He knows on beforehand, as he is keeping numbers on my head al the time.
Nevertheless it's good for me to name my problems, tell him what I cannot expect any other to care or pay attention to.
God does.
1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
I interpret this encouragement literally.
God wants every little detail, because he is there too.
I think women easier understand this, because we are used to care about the little things too.
I have noticed that both my husband and brother find it unnecessary to bother the Lord with too many words.
I keep saying, they are wrong.
God does want us to unburden our hearts and place our worries and our thanks upon him.
Have a blessed Sunday.
