Time is short. The older I get, the more I realize this fact. I don't want to waste the time I have on this earth. I want to grow in wisdom. I want to share the love of Christ with others. I want to shine His light.
I want Him to work in me and through me to touch others.
How about you?
I'm linking up with the Internet Cafe Devotions for Word-filled Wednesday.
Blessings and love,
Hi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI believe that one of the best gifts God has given us is the privilege to give, and to take advantage of the energy that flows through our life and relationships by sharing His love with others. After all, the greatest gift God gave to us was His Son, so the greatest gift we can give back to God is sharing ourselves! :)
Blessings and hugs,
Denise
I agree (no surprise there! lol). One thing that has been on my mind is that I so long to hear "well done, good and faithful servant" when I meet Jesus face to face someday. And he's showing me that a lot of that will have to do with how I spent my time. It doesn't mean I need to be a missionary in Africa or write some best-selling Christian book. It means I need to just do what he asks me to do on a daily basis with my family and anyone I come into contact with as I go about my daily life. It's those little obediences that please him as much as the big ones.
ReplyDeleteYes isn't it so true..with you. I think we are gaining wisdom in the fact that we understand time is flying and we want to serve Him...there is something to be said about aging.
ReplyDeleteOften I think whenever each day passes by, that's one day of aging for me and true enough, 1 or 2 white hairs became more than 5... :) Time is fast and there are too much to learn with the things of God.
ReplyDeleteYour post is a challenge not to waste each day or time doing things for the Lord and learning more about Him. May He always guide you with His divine wisdom. Blessings.
This is something I stuggle with too lately. We are promised another second so every breath I take, is because God let me take it. We need to be making disciples with the short time we actually do have. Thanks for the encouragement today!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes! Me too!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,

Great verse and a lot of wisdom. When you reach my age you start wondering how much longer can it be before I get to see my Saviour face to face.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
ReplyDeletewow that's a doozie! We just found out one of the ladies at church died and she's only 30ish with 3 little ones... just really hits home!
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteWe just finished our small group study of "Not a Fan" and it's dealing with the same things...I don't want to waste the time I have here on earth...wisdom in knowing and moving in obedience.
WONDERFUL and POWERFUL Word!
blessings!!
To waste time is to loose opportunities and in turn loose blessings.....I am with you girlfriend.....
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful weekend...
Oh yes! Time is passing too quickly... above all, I want to use my time to serve Him.
ReplyDeleteAmen! Thanks for a great WFW. Love you
ReplyDeleteAfter just celebrating one of those "milestone" birthdays yesterday, I am more aware of the fact that life is short than ever before. I want to make a difference for Christ - every day and not waste a moment! What a blessing it is to be given this life and what an honor it is to serve Him!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joan

ReplyDeleteI feel the same way Sister. Time is flying and I want to be used for His glory!
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs to you!
Beth
I've sent you a couple e-mails, did you get them? I was just wondering if you had received the code for the Novica giveaway yet. :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Aubrey Laine-
ReplyDeleteI sent you a message on October 25th and included the code so you could place a $50 order with Novica. In case it went into your junk email (sometimes that happens to me), I resent it today to the email you provided.
Sorry about the delay.
Debbie

Amen and Amen Debbie! My heart is to hear, "Well done, my good and faithful servant". To be used for His glory we must daily die to self and that's not easy but it's doable with His help. I desire to be pleasing to our God and to bless others for His glory.
ReplyDeleteLove you dear friend. Thank you for the blessing!
Amen sweet friend, amen.
