Everyday Blessings

One thousand gifts and counting ...

Every day on my way to work, I pass by a sign on the side of the road.  I've been curious to stop but it's too early since they don't open until 8 am.

There are roses in a variety of colors.  You can cut them yourself and then wrap them in newspaper to take home.
On Saturday, I made a special trip to stop by and say hello.  I spoke with Evan and he told me they can keep the roses growing and looking so pretty through the summer despite the Arizona heat.  He recommended bringing gloves when I came back to cut my dozen.

As I took a few photos, a farmer was busy working in the field.  He told me he was planting a variety of melons.  He invited me to return later in the season so I could pick my own to buy.

Our three year old class is learning about how caterpillars transform into butterflies.  How exciting to get to see this occur right before our very eyes.  The kids and teachers are fascinated!

The children love it when I take photos of their shoes.  Kambria was very excited to show off her cowboy boots.

Carpooling gives me lots of time to get to know Tara.  We've grown to become good friends, even though I'm old enough to be her mother. :)  She's getting married to Josh at the end of July, so I get to hear all the details of the wedding planning.  I have to admit that ...I'm loving it.

Life can be very challenging but God is good.  How thankful I am as I look for the everyday blessings He provides.

  4. Good Morning! How I enjoyed this post Debbie. Nothing like little ones...When Mel was doing her internships she worked as an aide in a couple of different elementary schools. She got a note or two everyday from the precious little ones. They were just darling. She had them pinned all over her mirror in her room. The roses look great. Have a good day! HUGS

  5. Hi, Debbie
Another fun post - loved the picture of the boots - and the story about the roses.

My own roses need some tending and you may just have inspired me to get out there and work on them today. :)
Have a wonderful day - Marsha

  13. Dear Debbie,
If you knew what great you are giving by sharing these everyday star moments.
You're spreading light into my life and I feel blessed by your blessings, the farmer, the children, the colleague and the caterpillar.
I hope you get some beautiful red roses for your home, and I hope they smell as good as they look.
You indeed are my everyday hero, and that's when it really counts.
Sunday Saints are boring, their glory fade when the toil and adversity of real life start sanding the surface.
You do the opposite; you shine of real gold and honest love.
God bless you and stay steady by your side,- now and always.

  17. Over the years you have had some interesting subjects. I really liked the time you did the names of God. But I must admit, I really like this one. Just finding those things you are thankful for - seeing God blesses you (us) all the time, if we just take time to look around.
