I took this photo in Giverney, France. Greg and I were on a vacation to Paris. We decided to take a train ride to the countryside, which ended up being my favorite part of the trip. I took this photo in Giverney at Monet's home, the impressionist painter. The gardens were simply beautiful. This is the lilly pond that is so famous in his paintings.
It reminded me of how I need to remain ...in Christ.
goodness debbie that is a gorgeous photo and i can see why he spent so much time painting that location! breathtaking and relaxing for sure!

Wow. That's so beautiful it would make a great greeting/encouragement card.
ReplyDeleteI must say, it's the countryside anywhere - be it Europe, the U.S., Mexico, etc., - that I love best. There you meet up with the real folks and the simple life. Too, nature is rarely obliterated by the cement found in cities.
Yep. The photo is worth a thousand words!
Hugs,
Kathleen
Absolutely beautiful! I kept saying to myself, "WOW, this is a real place..a place of peace and beauty". And the Lord reminded me that I can have this place of beauty and peace in HIM every day! Ahhhhhh!

I love Monet! Wow, what a great vacation!!! Not only that, you have an awesome verse her. It is one near and dear to my heart. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous, Debbie, thank you.
ReplyDeleteLove you ~
My dear blogfriend, how very true that verse it...apart from Me you can do nothing! I have learned that so well in my life this past year. Without Him, I am nothing, I have nothing. Everything I have and am I owe to Him.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Easter, Debbie!
I live in the country...wish I had a lilly pond. Beautifl! I've been picking up branches from a recent storm...a good reminder to think about the Vine...I am so glad I know Him and yes I sure can do nothing apart from Him.
ReplyDeleteLove you from afar, true sister you are Debbie,
