I purchased an old book that contained pictures of botanicals from a specialty bookstore in Scottsdale, Arizona. I removed each page from the book, being very careful not to tear the delicate pictures. I took them to a framing studio so they could be displayed in the best way.
You can probably save some money and do this yourself, if you're a visual person. I need all the help I can get. I think they look great arranged in this space using six of them.
I even had extra pictures from the book so I used two more to display on my guest bathroom wall. I tried taking a picture of the two of them but kept getting glare but I think you can get the idea. You can see more of the detail in this closeup.
The focus of Heart Choices isn't art. But art can be so soothing and relaxing to me and that's good for my heart! With spring in the air, I love to look at the flowers outside and the botanicals on the walls of my home too.

How fun! I may do this on my blog too. I am not a fan of wallpaper because I like plain painted walls in order to showcase art.
ReplyDeleteI love botanical prints & yours are fabulous. Grouping 6 of them together makes a great impact. It is hard taking photos of pictures with glass. Hard not to get any glare. Mirros are even harder when trying not to get yourself in the photo. lol.
ReplyDeleteBotanicals are some of my favorites. I'm guessing you spent much more on the frames than you did on the prints, but frames and matting can make or break your display.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I love the flowers. Excellent idea.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! And being lighthearted is good for the heart!

Wow, fantastic. Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Even before I got to the point in your post where you described the botanical prints as soothing and relaxing, I was thinking those same words. I am working on painting and redoing our bedroom, but haven't made any solid decisions on wall art...this may be the answer.
ReplyDeleteDear Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI like your botanic photos. Flowers are good for mind and soul.
There even is a book about the flowers from the Bible. (I have not got it).
Most of our hospitals have paintings and artwork around. It cheering up the patients.
Gunnar's aunt has been in a nursing home for four months. The wost about her room is that there's no paintings, only white walls. (We have brought some, but were not allowed to hang them up.)
Art & heart are a good combination.
