Lisa Shaw of Sharing Life with Lisa invited me to write a post for another blog she authors.
I worked as a nurse for many years. In fact, I was in the middle of my OB/GYN nurses' training in New York in 1973 when the Roe vs Wade decision allowed abortion to become legal in America.
Although I've never been pregnant, I have a heart for women who have gone through this procedure in the past. Many continue to deal with emotional issues related to this decision. I wrote about my impressions as a student nurse during that time period. If you like, you can read it on His Love Covers our Sins.

ReplyDeleteGreat post - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe scars from abortion aren't just physical. I've never had one but I know women who have and I've yet to meet someone who is genuinely glad they did it.
ReplyDeleteI left you a comment on Lisa's blog. Thank you for sharing your experience and wisdom.
ReplyDeleteLiving for Him, Joan
I just got home and that will be wonderful to hear about your experiences. I just want to be energized though I'm ready to sleep now after a tiring night. Energized with His message through you. God bless you sister.
ReplyDeleteOften we think that because we have never had an abortion we cannot relate. But this is something that affects us all at some level or another. Thanks for giving you perspective about this. You have shared this with me before, but it is good to be reminded of these life events, keeping them fresh in our minds, so that when the opportunity arises, we are ready to share from our own experiences as well as others.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, just returning to blog today. Thank you so much for blessing us all in your message on my HLCOS blog. It is ministering to many unto HIS glory.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your friendship! Love you.
