During primary school, I loved Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldon.

Wow, you certainly do have a lot of books! I don't have a kindle, but they sound handy and compact. Did you ever...Nancy Drew was a friend of mine too. Did you ever read a book called "Laurna Doone." I remember vividly how our school librarian would read us a chapter a day, beautiful reading voice. That was such a favorite book of mine. I should try to find it.(Memory Lane)
I do enjoy reading, but don't do it often enough. To my shame, it is too easy to turn on the television. And then, it seems that often when I do read, it is for information. It is interesting, and usually well written, but I've been thinking lately that I need to find a good fiction book to read. Actually, got one out that you gave me, but just can't quite get interested in it. Do you wonder what it is?hknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1282814980296803369.post-61468736928911679292010-09-24T22:36:38.466-07:002010-09-24T22:36:38.466-07:00My childhood was filled with reading too. I didn't start reading until I was about 35 and then it was academic books, but I loved them. It wasn't until I was in my 40's that I started studying the Bible and doing lots of Christian reading that my desire to read grew. I too have a collection of books (as you well know). I love to share them.
It wasn't until recently that I read 3 Francine Rivers Books and that was the first time that I really got engrossed in hisorical Christian Fiction. It was a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to reading another one by her. I love Bibles, commentaries, devotionals, and non fiction books. I pray our young people are exposed to the joy of reading.
I loved your post and your memories and the pictures.
BlessingsAnna Mayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01815358092346823496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1282814980296803369.post-37224948709322197222010-09-24T20:58:39.122-07:002010-09-24T20:58:39.122-07:00Hi Debbie! I think we had every book she wrote. I didn't enjoy reading as a child, but developed a love once I reached adulthood. I have a Kindle and absolutely love it. I love the fact that I don't have books laying around anymore and have access to any book I want to read within a few minutes.
