Working Together

Working with preschool children can be challenging. Everything in their world seems to rotate around ...them.  Trying to teach them to share and play together has its moments.

I love when the children get to experience doing something together and having it turn out better than if they did it alone.

Sometimes I have to chuckle to myself.  Many adults have that same independent attitude and 'don't play well with others'.

I love how God creates each one of us individually.  No two of us are exactly alike.  To one He may give a talent for organization.  To another a gift of hospitality. To another He may give a gift of leadership or a desire to help others. Instead of being jealous of someone else's talent, why not appreciate the gift He has given you and use it to glorify Him?  Maybe we can learn like children?  After all, the project just might work out better if we each use our gifts working toward a common goal.

In the meantime, we can still express our individuality in many different ways.  How about these awesome pink and white nails?

I continue to count my every day blessings.

  1. Yes, what we learn in kindergarten sometimes has to be relearned.

  2. Good morning! You have some REALLY good thoughts here Deb, and I will admit I have definitely been guilty of feeling like I would love to do what others have been gifted to do and I haven't been. Measuring ourselves against others is just NEVER a good idea. It does take all of us working together. Thanks for this reminder this morning. Enjoy your day!

  6. Enjoyed your list, Debbie, especially that your dad is learning about FB and that your car is 13 years old. Mine is 11 and still going strong.

  7. All of your descriptions of the kids and how they work together are such a picture of how we as 'God's church' are supposed to be, and so many times we don't look like that. Leave it to a child to teach the adults.

Yay for your dad Debbie, for making his way around FB. I've gotten on and then unjoined, I was sure it would be a temptation to spend too much time there, although sometimes I'm still tempted to do it, as it's such a quick and easy way to be in touch with so many friends... Maybe I'll reconsider at some point... :)
