Be Who God Created You To Be

Be the person God created you to be.  It can be all too easy to compare yourself with others.

Even Evan and Max were measuring themselves against one another. Who is taller?  It was quite cute as they each thought they were the same height.  It's all a matter of perspective.

But God created each one of us with gifts and abilities to be used for His Kingdom purposes.  I for one, don't want to waste time worrying about how I stack up against another.

How about you?

I'm linking up with the Internet Cafe Devotions for Word-filled Wednesday.

Blessings and love,

  3. I love how God creates us each so uniquely! You are right, we all have different gifts and abilities. The true strength comes when we all work together, using the gifts God has given us, toward one purpose -- to bring honor and glory to Him!

  4. Debbie, this is a very important post for all christians....God created us just the way He wanted us to be with the gifts He wanted us to have. I know it makes Him feel bad when we compare ourselves to others and don't look to Him to for the guidance we need in developing our unique and individual self...'

  5. Good morning! Oh no I definitely DON'T want to compare myself to anyone. It never seems to go well for me when I do. ; ) Your just soo right of course. We each bring our very unique selves to His service and it seriously takes us all to keep it all going. Just how He planned it in His perfect way. Hope you are having a good day! HUGS!

  6. Oh boy this post reminds me of some great Truths!:

Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding. 2 Corinthians 10:12

When people commend themselves, it doesn't count for much. The important thing is for the Lord to commend them. 2 Corinthians 10:18

Sending much love and many prayers!

  7. A very good reminder! God fashioned each one of us to be unique and not to be cookie-cut mold. He made us special.

  11. Love it!! And I am just starting a new season in my life. Have no idea what God has for me. I thought I knew, but now I am so unsure. So, I am praying, waiting, watching, and trusting.

Great thoughts! You always have such wonderful words to share.

  12. Hi Debbie! I'm hopping over from Triberr, and I so appreciate your encouraging words. Too often I'm tempted to compare myself, but there's only one ME (ptl) and I'm the only one who can fulfill the calling He's placed on my life!

    Hugs from VA,
