TSMSS ~ Isaiah 6

It's Then Sings My Soul Saturday when I link up with Amy of Signs, Miracles and Wonders.

Bible Study Fellowhip (BSF) added a new study this year so I signed up. It's a verse by verse study of Isaiah and let me tell you ...I'm loving it!

I'm amazed at how relevant God's words spoken through Isaiah are for us today.

In the sixth chapter, Isaiah was given a vision of God seated on the throne.  In contrast to God's holiness, He became so aware of his own sinfulness.

His response in Isaiah 6:5 is:

"Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty."

God is holy.  Sin cannot come into the presence of His holiness.  How grateful I am for Jesus, who made a way for us to enter into a personal relationship with God.  His righteousness covers my sin.  He paid the penalty for my sin.  My response is to bow down and worship Him.

Btw, let me know if you're doing BSF this year.  I'd love to know if others are studying Isaiah.

Blessings and love,

  3. Hiya Sweet Sister!

I couldn't hear this song because of my laptop speakers not working at the moment (my laptop is in getting repaired and our other one is a dinosaur lol). I will come back to it when my new is fixed.

I love your heart and this post spoke powerful truth.

    Bless you!

I am interested in this BSF. Can you tell me more (email me if you can, and only when you have time). I would love to do a study of Isaiah or am I too late?

  5. Wow. I've never heard this one from Todd Agnew. We sing several songs at church from Isaiah 6 and they are always so moving. This video is very good and the song is so encouraging to hear how AWESOME our God is. Thanks for sharing it, Debbie. I'm always lifted up when I visit you.

  8. Just Beautiful.
I cannot tell you how much I am missing BSF this year.
I stepped out in faith to serve in the Women's Ministry at my church. I trust God has me in this new role for His purpose. But I am sure missing the depth and richness of BSF.
Love & Blessings from Hong Kong,

  12. I love this chapter of Isaiah, it always reminds me of His radical forgiveness that even though i mess up, i can still run to Him, and He is just to forgive and cleanse me from my unrighteousness, it's indeed humbling to know that my righteousness is through Christ alone, that this sinful "me" can have an intimate relationship to the Holy God through His Son.

    Thank you for sharing this.

    Blessings!

  17. Ohhh! Isaiah! Many times I've been at a "rock bottom" moment, and said, "Father I need something!" And opened the Word to Isaiah! So many verses chock full of goodness and imagery that brings a vivid reminder of His love for us! Such encouragement! I miss you! BTW, I'm glad to be 'going along for the ride' with you wherever you go (even if it's via my cd.) :) Let me know if you'd like one for your home. :)

    Love and hugs dear friend!

  18. Isaiah is such a profound book. I pray that the Lord increases my understanding and revelation of HIS Word.

May the Lord continue to reveal to your heart the power of HIS Word.

Also, many thanks for stopping by my blog. My desire is that the name of Christ be exalted in all that I do for Him.

Have a blessed week in Him!

  20. Well yes, I am doing BSF - Isaiah. Isn't it great? The song you picked actually helped me with one of the questions - the graphics gave me a glimpse of what Isaiah may have been seeing, at least as much as man can envision that. I think it is going to be a great study.
    Love you.
