Wednesday's Walk ~ Butchart Gardens

It's Wednesday's Walk Down Memory Lane and I'm linking up with Jenilee of The Goodwin Family.

One of the most beautiful gardens I've visited was the Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island.  Talk about spring flowers; oh my!   If you love photography, this is a great place to visit.

Our trip to the Pacific Northwest was in June of 1993.  It was a beautiful time of year.  The gardens were  fragrant with the smell of the blossoming flowers.

Every place we walked there were more gardens and fountains.  Every photo looked like a postcard.

Here's my husband Greg getting some shade under the huge tree.  I don't think I've ever seen so much green.  Remember we live in the desert of Arizona so this was a treat for us.

I was simply overwhelmed by the beauty of the gardens.  So many colors and varieties of plants and flowers.

Doesn't this look inviting?

OK Debbie ...enough pictures!
Check out those sunglasses.  After all, it was 1993; lol.
This week I've been focusing on God as Yahweh  Rophe (Healer).  There's something about the beauty of God's creation that inspires me.  I feel so at peace as I gaze at the beauty of His creation.  And to think that heaven will be even more beautiful.

  19. Thank you so muich for stopping by today! I loved this post. We visited the graden in the 80's and my brother and I did not quite appreciate its beauty at the time like my parents. I do remember it vividly though and your pictures look very familiar I would love to go back.

On Monday I posted some picture of the tree outside of our house and I really felt like my mom. The thing I remember most from the trip was my mom saying to to my dad "Oh Ken look at the Hydrangas!!!" My kids will make fun of me one day too.

Anyway, now that I have wrote a short novel I will let you go, but I did enjoy your photos. Happy Wednesday.

  20. These pictures are just beautiful Debbie! I'm in the mood to wander in a beautiful garden today... life intervenes... so instead, I need to vacuum my floors! Apparently I've not done that recently, as I just glanced down and know I can't put it off any longer...:)

    Big hugs!

  21. Dear Debbie,
The Americans have a skill for grand designs, even when it comes to gardening.
The way they have used the natural scenery, lake and waterfalls and planted in between and made a paradisaical effect, is stunning.
The garden must be a perfect place to heal body and soul.

Cool pilot sunglasses, hope your husband still has got them, they are in,- again.
I have similar Ray Bans, and I love them.

Thank you so much for your kind and soothing words.
I have not often written about problems in my blog. This time I felt in such a need of prayer help, I just had to do it. And have I gotten positive response from readers and God alike.

The power of prayer cannot be overestimated.
We deal with a living, loving God.
    Amen!

  23. Loved your pics! I live in Alabama and that beautiful scenery with all the flowers and greenery would STILL be a treat! (BTW, I have been to AZ, and there are some pretty breath-taking views there as well...) I agree with you...I feel so close to our amazing Creator when I look at his beautiful Creation! :)

  24. Stunningly beautiful! I can't imagine living within such lovely scenery... where I live is flat and boring. Glad you were able to take it in. I feel very strongly about the mountains and would love for God to plop us right down in the middle of the woods somewhere (with a house and church of course).

Thank you for your kind words at my blog today; they mean a great deal to me.
