Then Sings My Soul Saturday ~ Give Me Jesus

It's Then Sings My Soul Saturday and I'm linking up with Amy of Signs, Miracles and Wonders.

This past week I had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with my blogging friend Kathleen.  You may know her as Sassy Granny.  When you hear granny do you have an image of a little old lady?

Well think again 'cause this granny is full of life, lots of fun and is definitely ...sassy.

She picked me up and we took a drive north of Phoenix to Wickenburg, Arizona.  It's a true Western town.  We had lunch at a local favorite called Anita's Cocina.  Mexican food is a specialty in Arizona and I thoroughly enjoyed my chimichanga.

Roger, the owner of this shop seemed to enjoy telling us all about Wickenburg.  But Kathleen found the perfect bag (on sale) and they both seem pleased.

Kathleen and I had the best time sharing with one another.  Her faith is so strong and she is such an encourager to me.  What impresses me so much about her is that she loves her morning quiet time reading Scripture, praying and journaling.  Kathleen delights to spend time with Jesus.

As I was considering what song to share today for Then Sings My Soul Saturday, this song kept playing in my head.   I once heard Fernando Ortega sing this song at an Anne Graham Lotz Conference I attended one year.  His voice is beautiful and the words are so simple and pure.  This video is actually a tribute to Ruth Graham, Billy Graham's wife who died.

But the song reminded me of the message I got from Kathleen.  She wasn't interested in another study or project or ministry ...just give me Jesus.

Happy Saturday!

Blessings and love,

Kathleen looks to be a wonderful lady. We have a friend in Arizona who sells those purses (one ones like it) I love the song and yes - I had a wonderful Granny just like Ms. Kathleen

What fun to see your pictures. I know it was a special day for both of you. Kathleen is an encourager, and so are you Debbie!

I shared this same song a few weeks ago, and it's one of my very favorite. He sang it at our church last year and you could have heard a pin drop!

Love you.

Debbie,
This song is bringing tears to my eyes as I listen. What a wonderful tribute to Ruth Graham, but an even greater one to Jesus! He is all we need!

Well, girl ... you just about did me in with this one! Thank you, and praise God for His fingerprints on your life and mine!

This has long been among my favorite songs; the bottom line to everything & anything. Is there anything or anyone more precious than Jesus? Nope; though I confess I often waste too much time trying to figure it out, or fix it, or whatever ... without Him.

May He always be our All-in-all, and the tie that binds our friendship forever.

Hugs,
Kathleen

I have to confess I come to your blog for a selfish reason: to be blessed. And I never leave disappointed! Thank you for your ministry here.

Hi Debbie, the picture in the video of Ruth and Billy....just the sweetest thing ever. I went to school with Gigi and we have communicated through the years, I sent a bunch of Ruth's books to be signed and now I am so glad I did that, even for my daughter getting married this summer. The love Billy and Ruth shared was just so beautiful. Anyhow, loved that song, and love YOU!!!!!
